For all those that said Catcher in the Rye - congrats.

On December 8, 1980, Mark Chapman shot John Lennon, remaining at the site, reading J. D. Salinger's Catcher in the Rye until the police arrived and arrested him. He said that the novel was his statement and that his life mirrored that of Holden Caulfield, the protagonist of the book.

 

I'll go with Teddy Roosevelt - he seemed the kind to drink expensive wine, but not so sure he was a cheapskate!

This sounds like something Benjamin Franklin would say, but he was never president so....

I am confused...thought the quote was from Teddy...didn't think he was that old or used Celsius. It's in the Gipper's "ball park", age-wise!
