Tcm Summer Of Stars - Orson Welles, Brando And More

Turner Classic Movies has their annual Summer of Stars on now through August 31, with each day devoted to a classic film star. Here are some of the highlights:

• Orson Welles on Friday, August 5 featuring The Third Man and Citizen Kane.
• Audrey Hepburn on Saturday, August 6 featuring Charade and Roman Holiday.
• Marlon Brando on Saturday, August 13 featuring A Streetcar Named Desire and The Wild One.
• Elizabeth Taylor on Sunday, August 14 featuring Cleopatra and Giant.
• Cary Grant on Sunday, August 29, featuring Suspicion and North By Northwest.

2022 Summer Under the Stars on TCM

 

That may be a good thing for our younger generation to see that their parents and grandparent's had some great actors and movies too.
I was only 15 when I saw what ended up being one of my favorite movies, a 1938 film about Johane Strauss, 'The Great Waltz'.

 

All fine movies! Nice to see TCM still in action. From abroad, I can only access it through various media player addons.

I'm from NJ, but I've been living in Asia for many years. Right now, I move back and forth between Manila and Singapore.

There used to be TCM Asia, but it disappeared in 2019!

 

I've never left America, I wanted to visit other nations but never had the opportunity.
