If Coca-cola was supposed to be healthy, an RC Cola and a Moon Pie gotta be even better.

Then again, when I was a kid I used to walk to a gas station to trade in my bottles so every time I see one of those old coolers, my memory serves me up the smells of oil, gas and grease.
Good memories and good memories are healthy memories.

People I knew who grew up in Western North Carolina referred to "Dope and a Moon Pie" for when Coca-Cola still had cocaine. Coke was developed as a woman's drink while men drank beer. So was 7-Up with lithium

So…..since lithium is recommended for manic depressive disorder, did the makers of 7up assume that women are all manic depressives?

Oh wait, manic depressive disorder really wasn’t classified until around the late 60’s so I guess 7up just figured women are whacky sometimes and the lithium would smooth things over.

I think they found that many people felt better when on lithium. I don't know when it was classified as a drug and removed from the soda.

RC was always my favorite cola. I had relatives in Pennsylvania who put milk in Pepsi. Of course, dumping peanuts into Pepsi (or was it Coke?) was a southern thing. I never tried either.

In the south, we didn’t have Coca-Cola. Dem 5 cent peanuts went into Co-Cola.
