To return to the topic, abbreviations can be useful, especially in posts about medical conditions. Consider MS or PTSD is something everyone would understand and typing out the long words might be less recognizable. However, lesser-known diseases might be better spelled out than abbreviated. The most feared medical DX is SOL. Abbreviations like OMG and LOL are replacing phrases and are soon to become words themselves, if not already. Will we just say the letters instead of trying to pronounce them?
Well, I don't see myself ever typing out the phrase "laugh out loud," but I do toss in an occasional LOL. Not sure why that is, so WTF.
I am thinking about laughing out loud but I'm afraid I might end up rolling on the floor laughing, and that's not something I've ever done before, and I'm afraid I'd hurt myself.
Yes, I think by now the forum knows what you and Faye think of wife and I, but "oh well". Not all of us can, or want to, think the same way. Guess I could just put both of you on "Ignore" and not worry about vulgar abbreviations.
Actually I have no opinion of your wife other than if she has so much to say, why doesn't she sign up and say it instead of funneling through you? And let's not take the thread farther OFF TOPIC. "Ignore" away.
