The data is hard to get at because universities publish studies of janitor salaries nationwide...they do not necessarily publish the salary data for their institution.

When I read the rumor, it was even worse than I posted, it said $129,000. But of course that was a lie and until now I went for it until googled and couldn't find it.

I'm sure the lawyers aren't the only ones padding their pockets.

    Got an idea.

In order to prevent outright bribery to get votes:
Every time a politician wants to bypass congress and promote some freebie to a section of the public that the taxpayer will ultimately have to pay for, they should instead have to start a “go-fund-me page and allow those who are interested in said freebie pay for it.

Everyone who wants to pay off someone else’s student loans….pony up.

Note: No, I am not joking around.

Or let them pay for it out of their money. They may not like spending their money as well as spending ours.

I read an interesting take that this is just another step to create the mindset of "free"college education...that the Fed will eventually take over all colleges & universities, first by holding the purse strings, and later as an overt fact.

Apparently, Biden really doesn't have the ability to make student debt go away but he add it to the Federal debt and make everybody pay "their fair share...."

Heard a guy on the radio this morning who just doesn’t seem to be able to figure out how the American Taxpayer is going to be on the hook for paying off the “forgiven” student loans.
According to him (and the White House), the loans are just being forgiven and no one has to actually pay anything.
    Doooofus.

Granted, the government isn’t handing out money but rather just forgiving between 300-500 Billion dollars in loans but that money WAS given to students and learning institutions at some time and who’s money was it that was handed out? OURS.

It’s a given that no one in the Government knows anything about balancing a budget but when the books are taking a 500 Billion dollar hit and it’s not going to show up then there’s a whole lot of cooks in the accounting department sautéing the numbers.

Maybe I compartmentalize a bit too much but press secretary Pierre also said that because we’re ahead on something or other that the loans will be covered. Huh? Taking money from one department in order to make another department’s shortfalls look righteous still leaves the books in shambles and somebody has to eventually pay to make it right. US.

The latest wisdom from Stacey Abrams:

Democrat gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams (D-Ga.) said that anyone, including illegal immigrants, should be allowed to go to college. Abrams spoke at a University on Wednesday. There, she stated that if immigrants have finished high school, then they should be able to attend college. She added the difference between American citizens and immigrants is “artificial obstruction.”

Let's just rescind all laws of any kind. They're an artificial obstruction. I'd like to give Abrams an artificial obstruction by shoving her broomstick up her ass.

“Right now, you don’t have the choice because in Georgia if you are undocumented, you are denied full access. That does not make sense. We are growing the next generation of leaders and I believe we should be investing,” Abrams said. “It doesn’t take away from anyone for immigrant students to be able to attend our schools.”

... except for paying American citizens whose preferred college has reached its maximum quota of students?

I think Biden forgiving student loans is just another case of trying to piss off the US citizens before the mid-term elections.

I saw some absurd "poll" on yahoo a couple of days ago, indicating the "support" for the forgiveness of student loans. 70% were for it, and coincidentally 70% of the poll participants had outstanding student loans! Wow, huh?? I love a good scientific sampling.

The IRS came after me mercilessly for defaulting on my student loan. I had to eat Ramen for half a year to pay it off, but I'm not anticipating a refund.
