If it's a rich man's trick, then it would involve Wall Street telling Washington what to do.

A lot of Washington is influenced by their returns from Wall Street.

Who and what is The Rand Corporation,

RAND Over the Past Seven Decades

The difference between RAND today and the organization created in 1948 is substantial and dramatic. We started with one client—the U.S. Air Force—and over the past seven decades have generated ideas and solutions for thousands of clients and other stakeholders around the world.

The mix of studies, singular accomplishments, and streams of research and analysis included in this timeline exemplifies the range and originality of RAND research. The selections are by no means the only ways and not necessarily the most important ways that RAND has made a difference. But they reflect the breadth of an ever-diversified organization and reveal a common motif: our ability to have a positive effect on the world by applying rigorous and objective analysis to challenging problems. That aspiration has guided RAND ever since it was established.

I don't like the Russian system or Putin but I'm on the side of Russia on this one. Anything that toon Biden in charge is for we all know is tragic for America. I can also see why Russia doesn't want their surrounding neighbor's nations to join NATO.
I wonder how we would like Canada, Mexico and Costa Rica etc. to invite in Russia's army?

Texas has been talking about succeeding from America for a while now.

This whole thing feels like an eyewash and the west is being taken for a ride, imo.

I trust nothing that I hear about it. Obviously, I wouldn't trust Putin to act in the best interests of the United States, since that's not his job, but I'd be more inclined to believe him than whoever the heck is running the United States government today, who clearly are not working in our best interests either. Ukraine seems to be dominated by Nazis, or the equivalent. I don't trust any of them, and I don't believe anything that I hear.

    I agree.
In this case of Russia, it seems to be

" the enemy of my enemy ,is my friend".

I think it is much bigger than Wall Street. From what I've read they are ruled by a small group of leaders. I think they are Scandinavian elites who use others to do their work in the open while they stay hidden.
Using all kinds of economic and political world leaders help.
I've been up all night, so I'll stop with this.

With the latest so-called arms deal to Ukraine, the U.S. alone has given or will give $100 Billion dollars to Ukraine. That amount exceeds the entire Russian military budget. While Europe is giving some support, the EU and NATO combined have only given a fraction of the U.S. contribution. We are being drained by this administration. How sad can it get?

That's a lot of money, an astronomical sum if you also count all the illegal spending to bring in every foreign invader in our world to our southern border. Even the supreme court has decided enough stupidity is enough. They hate to get involved with party fighting and targeting of political figures but even they have seen what is happening, an all out attempt to swing the party power using illegals at some point in time. They are literally putting illegals into locations that are currently conservative hoping to completely take over America and I so hope I am around to see them fail and pay for the back room coups now being perpetrated. They are not loved and still manage to steal enough elections to keep power. This large amount of money for Ukraine is about on par with my buying a 9 volt battery for my little volt meter, once upon a time it was a 1.50. Today it is 4.50 for one battery at a cheap dollar store. The real kicker is all the crap is being made in China, who are all laughing all the way to their bank. I guess wars aren't as cheap as they once were. :D

In 1968 a brand new shiny UH1 was about a quarter million. A pair of main rotor replacements were like 2000 dollars. A pair today is more like 20,000. No doubt they are still using the same tooling and dies from 1968. One shoulder fired missile a million each. Russia is committing war crimes by the hundreds and suffering no internal damage or loss of their country infrastructure. Today I would say the rest of the world is exactly like pre WWII Europe, no one cared because the war had not caught up to them "YET". Imagine what it will cost in about 20 more years to fight a war. Maybe we will all be on our way to Mars for a new homeland, this one isn't cutting it today. I know how that goes too, only the rich and politicians will be allowed to go to Mars.

I really got a break this morning, I had to ship my motherboard back to California for a replacement but due to living rural and no ups store I had to ship USPS and I only paid 17 dollars. I get reimbursed for the shipping and at this point I have lost so much already I was more than happy to spend the 17 dollars. While there at the Post Office my trucks battery went belly up. It's like you can't leave your home without a hundred dollar bill in your pocket.

I found out today that if you doubt we should be involved in the Ukraine war or if you haven't taken the clot shots you are a far right extremist. So kool. I always wanted to be in a club of some kind.

It's confusing though. If you're a far right extremist in the US you're an enemy of the government, but if you're a far right extremist in Ukraine you get sent money and weapons by that same government. Maybe I should hang a Ukrainian flag in my yard and get the jabs...... naaah.
