Lots of Hungarians in Ohio and PA. I remember we would sometimes drive to Ohio to visit some friends of my parents.

How could I forget? Actually I did til You posted that. :)

I do remember having to have a new Easter outfit for church every year. Think a hat too in my younger days.

When I was young I woman or girl couldn't go to church without a hair or veil. Remember the veils?

In catholic school if we forgot our veils we would we put Kleenex on our heads with Bobby pins. :)

I sure do remember hats and mantillas and those little chapel veils. Also the emergency Kleenex and Bobby pin get up, lol!

That was when you were downtown and wanted go in the big church to say prayer or light a candle and you had no hat. How silly that was.

Mantilla, I couldn't remember what they were called. Thanks.

I don't even remember when the rules changed about wearing something on your head.

Maybe the same time you could eat meat on Friday. We always still had fish, it was a tradition.

We are Senior Citizen and Mom is house bound, so it'll be a very quiet one this Easter. Just maybe some boiled eggs and ham sandwiches. Been seeing some churches celebration and prayer services banners around town for Easter. We plan to watch television of special Easter shows too.
