Actually, I was just at the dentist yesterday for my checkup and cleaning. I had no blood pressure check. Maybe no dentists has ever taken my blood pressure because I am not on any blood pressure meds or any other medication. I don't know?
I've NEVER had the deep cleaning "scam" and believe it's due to my antioxidant intake and for sure grape seed extract. Oh the kids my early dental work helped put their kids thru college. I have not been to a dentist in about 10 yrs as I take care of my old mouth.teeth and started to question it all with their constant push for xrays, and I started to refuse them..and the rest is my history. When I have a little pain in a couple areas, I go to my Myrrh Tincture, a great healing oil.
Joy, Deep Cleaning isn't a "scam". My wife had her teeth "deep cleaned" when we lived in Jacksonville, Florida and didn't have a problem with it. We both brush each and every day and use mouthwash. Apparently there are those that can have great teeth and those that have problems. My wife is 74. I really have a difficult time understand some of the fuss about medical doctors, dentists, etc. They all spend lots of money and class hours to become doctors and dentists, yet so many think they charge too much for their services. Sometimes I just don't get it!
There is so much we can do to be our own docs/dentists. You and I come from opposite points of view and that is the way it is. Believe me, I've given docs/dentists plenty of money in my life. NO MORE. I'd rather support the world of Prevention of poor health.
Well, I've got EMS training, have a full First Aid Kit w/stethoscope at home, but, without a doubt, trust my VA doctor and a dentist than myself. But, as the old saying goes, "go each their own". And, before I forget to ask, just what can we do to "be our own docs/dentists"? I've actually read about those that have died due to not seeing a doctor. A very close friend of my wife, that she knew since high school, died a few years back because she refused to see a doctor about her Lupis problem that got very serious.
There are all types and many dread doctors ( my parents) and both lived into 90's and me types, believed docs for years and finally took control. There is so so so so much info today at our fingertips to work on our own healing. Docs may spend 15 minutes and then pull out the script pads.... Cody, all your training and you don't trust yourself. ummm Docs need their patients. My sis trusted her docs when she was alive dealing with MS and they kept hitting her with every new MS drug that came along. Boy did she trust them.
Agree. About 10 years ago I had a bit of gum receding over one of my canine teeth so I went to a periodontist for a tissue graft. Before the grafting, I had a deep clean and it was very effective at getting my gums back in shape; much more effective than a normal cleaning. Since that time I have not had anymore receding tissue around my teeth and I have ALL of my original teeth.
My EMS training was in 1975. In fact, there was no such wording as EMS (Emergency Medical Services) back then. I do have a full First Aid Kit, but many, many people do. Most everyone knows how to use bandages/gauze/dressings. I know that.
And enpty strip mall dentist too. It is empty for a reason. I learned this lesson the hard way back in 1985. The empty waiting room should have been my first clue to leave.
all that took years for the result you got...i went to an old dentist back in 81... i asked for 2 teeth out...little at a time towards getting top denture...me in chair...dentist above...needle in hand...said as shooting me...you don't want to do it that way...my mouth open...for shot...i said garbled...yeah...i do... he asked me while shooting novicane up and out my nose... do i tell the pilot how to fly the plane? me jumping up...pulled off bib..."this ain't no #**..plane " followed me to parking lot wanted his money...ne'er gonna happen ole man ..get outta my way or get squashed like a bug...send me a bill and get sued for malpractice with that shooting novicane biz...never heard from them... anyway...eventually.. i got dentures...no problems for many years.. now...you are wanting to get your teeth fixed and you're right...who knows what's coming... i do so hope you will hon
