Now, just how do we deal with looking for a new place and packing for next years move............somehow/someway, we just do. And, obviously, since we can't travel to every place we are interested in, we have to rely on the old computer/Internet. We rented a mid-sized SUV, drove thru Wyoming, south to north, and that trip ended up being a pretty solid "no" to move to that state. It simply wasn't what we thought it was going to be. Wyoming has changed quite a bit.
Sounds like you have the right idea, about how to find the right place. Sure it will still be stressful though.
I don't really handle stress very well. My husband on the other hand, stress puts him on high alert. His thinking becomes sharper and clearer, and he can problem solve almost any situation.
I'm like you, don't handle it all that good either, but try to. Wish that I could be more like you say your husband is.
A good way to get less stress is to avoid the ones who cause it. Haven't been served, but feel I will any minute now.
The best way I know to avoid stress is to turn the TV off. For instance, there is an active shooter situation going near Raleigh right now. WRAL-TV is showing continuous coverage of it. I watched a few minutes of it then left the room. There's nothing I can do about it so why stress myself watching it?
I agree, there's always some kind of killing going on on news, so I hardly ever watch it either. Like you said, what can we do about it? During 2020, I thought everyone was gonna die, at the rate of people dying from all kinds of stuff.
There are two types of stress: good stress (eustress) and bad stress (distress). The absence of stress is also known as death.
Read about that this morning online. It was a teenager dressed in camouflage. Also read this morning about a 5th Grade school teacher, in East Chicago, who had a student, teacher, staff kill list. The teacher told a 5th grade student about the list. She has been taken in for questioning and admitted to the list and telling the student about it.
Shirly, where do you find such humans? Just kidding but I do like a good debate and its no fun or learning only hanging with those with agree with all the time.
