Do you generally eat breakfast, dinner, and supper (whatever names you might give them) at pretty much the same time every day? I don't. Other than maybe a bagel, I don't usually eat breakfast except on weekends or when I'm traveling. I don't eat a regular noon meal. Instead, I might make a sandwich or fix something if I'm hungry. Supper is the only meal that my wife and I usually eat together, but it might be anywhere from 6 or 7 pm to 11 pm. For example, it's past 10:30 pm and we haven't eaten yet, but yesterday we ate at about 7 pm.
Yes, but mostly because we only eat one meal a day most days. We don't eat breakfast or lunch (at least most of the time), though we might have a piece of fruit or something and plenty of coffee. We eat dinner/supper fairly early by most standards--usually sometime between 3 and 5 p.m. We have some kind of dessert with coffee around 8 p.m.
Bobby and I often eat different foods, and at different times; so we might have one regular meal per day, and sometimes not even that. Since Bobby is into the body building thing, he eats mainly protein foods, in large quantities. I have kidney failure, so I have to be careful about having too much protein and overwhelming my kidneys; so for me, a small amount of protein works better, and from plant sources is the best. I usually try to have fresh raw foods, but in the winter, I want something hot to eat, so more of soups than salads. When we do eat together, we always eat dinner early, between 3-6 pm, and Bobby likes to watch television when he eats. I make the fiber cake, and we often have that along with coffee for breakfast, since it is filling and healthy. So, for us, meals are not 3 a day, and happen when they happen.
I always eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, although the past 6 months or so the schedules have shifted. I've been trying to not eat a large full dinner so late at night (11PM or later was a routine time for me to eat a full meal.) So most recently I've had a largish lunch late in the afternoon, and "dinner" might be a salad with cheese & crackers...I gotta have at least one salad every day.
We eat 2 meals a day. We eat a small breakfast everyday, usually between 6 and 7, which consists of a serving of old fashion oats with fruit and walnuts.... lots of coffee. And like some others here, most days we eat an early supper around mid to late afternoon since retirement, because it suits us. Then around 6 or 7 in the evening we share a few apple slices. On occasion,I might have a cup of hot tea or coffee mid morning with a yogurt, if I'm feeling a little peckish. THEN...there are some days we graze through out the day.
I think if I were alone at this point in life, I'd strictly "graze", just nibbling throughout the day instead of cooking big meals.
we do have a routine of large breakfast by 730 ish...then...around 1pm...dinner...no supper...just snack..which ..i gotta go figure dinner..now!
yes and trying to change that. i eat breakfast by 8 most times. If i cook ham or bacon he eats that only and coffee. Lunch sandwich and chips for him everyday . I hate that, so i often eat leftovers if there are any. Lunch normally 12 or 12:30 . Supper time 6-630 most days. Normally i do not eat after the last meal , h e on the other hand snacks after i go to bed- well sometimes. hoping after we move and become way too busy to change our eating ways and times.
I no longer have regular meal times. My lady friend is a night owl, and often sleeps until noon. I'm up anytime between 4:30 and 7:00. We might have a meal together a couple of times a week, otherwise I fix a tray for her whenever she gets hungry, and I mostly graze. Oddly enough, I've lost my taste for coffee. The best I can do is drink a half cup or so first thing in the morning, compared to 2 or 3 or 4 I used to drink every morning. I may have a cup of tea later in the morning, but no coffee.
Breakfast around 8am Lunch at 11:30 or 12:00 Snack at 3pm Dinner at 6pm I know it sounds like a rigid schedule but the stomach wants what the stomach wants!
We’re very much home bodies so sticking to a schedule is easy. Up at 0630 to feed the kitties and have breakfast. Then about 1130 - 1200 give the kitties a snack of Cesar Chicken (actually a dog snack but they love it). We often have a very light lunch, sometimes a cookie and cup of coffee. Around 1630, we give the kitties their second big meal of the day and we have dinner right afterwards. Some days, we will vary a bit if we go out. Then we have a late and large lunch/dinner (around 1400 hours) and just a snack later in the day. There’s not much variation to the above.
We are getting into a semi-regular schedule of having two workout days at the fitness center, and then a day of recuperation. On recuperation days, I usually make some kind of a meal that both of us can eat. If there is extra meat, then i share mine with Marco Poodle, and if there is not enough meat protein for Bobby, then he just makes a hamburger or some eggs, or whatever he needs for his high protein diet. Today, I am making a vegetarian dish with eggplant and lentils, so Bobby will probably be adding more protein of some kind to his food plan for the day, and for me it should be a good blend of lentil protein, and lots of vegetables and fiber, and slow digesting carbs.
