I like my ski machine. Even on it I have to be a little careful. Mostly my feet are stationary but every once in while, my feet follow along. the pulley action against the hip support works my abs and back and they are what keep me going anyway. My cane arm gets too much of a workout pressing down and my off arm gets too much pulling/lifting up, doing all the lifting and carrying. The machine sort of evens them out.

I used to have one of the Gazelle gliders, and I absolutely LOVED that machine. I used it all of the time and it was easy for me to use.
Bobby wanted to get the exercise bike (which i can’t manage to get on without huge problems) and we loaned out my Gazelle to a lady who needed a way to walk in the house, and we never got it back when she moved.
So we have Bobby’s huge exercise weight-lifting equipment and the exercise bike in the back room, along with my trampoline. In the bedroom is the treadmill. We have enough stuff to be able to exercise with ; but I still prefer just walking back and forth in the house instead.

I have one and I used it too, but it seems that all I have to do is not use it for a couple of days and I find stuff stacked all around and on it, so I'd have to figure out what to do with the stuff, and then actually move it, in order to use it.

I just cannot deal with those stationary bikes, but I do like the treadmill. I have never tried the ski machines, but I used to ski a bit.

Bike or ski machine, I just park it in front of a tv screen and plug in a movie.

My exercise bike, elliptical, and treadmill all have book stands on them, so I can put an iPad there and either read or watch a streaming channel. Of course I usually just turn on the TV that is in that room; it's much easier to watch.

Once upon a time, long long ago, I had a couple of stationary bikes and an elliptical. They made great items to hang clothes on.:D

I never use the elliptical so I'd like to unload that thing.

A long time ago - for a long time ,I walked, power walked and rode bicycle for miles on a daily basis. I really miss that. In distance I walk best now with my trusty weapon the Cane. I am hoping once moves to walk as much as I can around our new area, with my cane. I make sure I am standing straight up, and not hunched over when using. Makes me feel more powerful and noted that I may have issues but can deal with them.
My cane is a weapon . I have used it in that matter twice now. Plus a toy, Ain't nothing better than giving the ole man a hop a long in the back end when needed. :D

If I ever need a cane, I am buying one of the stun gun canes.

I've been walking g for a week now, my PAD aka Peripheral Neuropathy is getting worse, I read walking is best treatment, period!
I usually do yard work and dance but now walking.

Thanks, Faye, for the thread, maybe on days like this when I don't feel like the walk it will inspire me or remind me to get moving.

My old dog Molly and I a few minutes ago doing our walk on the trail,so far we only walk 5000' but will increase every week to get to a mile or two. This is where the big tree fell across our fence.

Molly the comeback kid is now going on `16. Thought she was a goner just a couple weeks ago when she had the stroke.
