One suggestion is to use the Wayback Machine at archive.com. Anything that is online can be saved for free, and it will appear in the Wayback archive of Internet pages. You can save a page to the Wayback archive from their site, but they also have a browser app (for most common browsers) that will allow you to save web pages with one click. Just so you know, the page doesn't appear in their archive immediately but it is placed in the queue. Everything I have saved has shown up eventually, and usually within 24 hours. This comes in particularly handy when you come across something on a website that is likely to be taken down for political reasons or legal concerns. When I had a newspaper, I caught several organizations denying things that they had posted on their site, thinking that changing the webpage would make it go away.
It's amazing: With any of the endless problems that can possibly entangle humanity (although many repeat themselves throughout history) the solution is always ALWAYS ALWAYS higher taxes, more rules, more laws, more regulations -- which results in a bigger government, which means less liberty. Of course they never couch it in those terms, which is why millions of people support it. “The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield, and government to gain ground.” -- Thomas Jefferson
Where did I see a few months ago, the following quip: "99.9% of scientists agree with whoever is paying them." True science has nearly been buried. All the rest has been politicized.
I find it novel. The other week I participated in a online zoom conference to discuss Greta Thunbergs ideas. I find it innovative. You know earlier today I read a huge headline on my past coworkers Facebook page. It stated that many environmentalists are hypocritical due to owning private jets. The subtitle then read that travelling to the environment convention also causes pollution. I am less impressed. I told my husband I am not touching this post with a ten foot pole. That was hilarious.
Perhaps misguided. There’s much more to life than this one central thought. Whichever way the countries of the world go on global warming, her efforts will have little if any effect. Reminds me of all those people when asked if one wish could be granted, what would it be? Answer, “world peace.” Nonsense.
https://www.infowars.com/posts/greta-thunberg-calls-for-overthrow-of-whole-capitalist-system/ Renowned prepubescent girl scientist Greta Dumbberg - oops, I mean Thunberg is gifting her wisdom to the earth once again. We are so lucky to have her. I guess capitalism will have to go. Greta gets what Greta whines for.
Look at the screenshot jpg below. I'm not bringing up the image you posted - just a placeholder. It's better to upload the pic instead of linking to it.
I don't see your screenshot...your reply got embedded in the quote. I did upload the file directly to another comment, and then linked the pic in this thread to its URL on this site. I can see it fine. I really don't understand this stuff half the time...
Me neether, but doing that makes the link have to go back to the server and then up to the forum and then back again. At least I think so.
It makes no sense. Over half the stuff Shirley Martin posts shows as IMG in brackets[] on my computer. ps: Thanks for that mouse pad tip. I've been telling all my friends...both of them!
And to sorta respond while getting back on topic: Greta may seem to have grit, but she's just abrasive.
