So far, it's been quiet today. Last Friday, and the Friday before, it was very busy. Besides addictions, Pir2Peer helps other life situations as well, such as finding employment, housing, food, and so on. We serve a hot meal once a week, and our food pantry is well-stocked, as well as having a couple of storage sheds full of clothing, much of it new. Someone doesn't have to be a client to stop by for food or clothing, no questions asked, but clients will be asked to participate in a life survey to determine their needs, beyond sobriety, because people who are unhappy in sobriety tend to relapse. Other people, usually people in recovery, just hang out, as we have a large room with comfortable chairs and sofas, and such. Grants and government contracts will sometimes require certain structures to be put into place, and I suppose there is good and bad in that.
Good morning, everyone. I say "everyone" but @Al Amoling and I are the only ones here this early. I'd make a comment about Mainers not sleeping in you don't usually see me here until close to noon, if that.
I only had 2.5 hours sleep, Ken and was awake at 3:30 a.m., but wasn't near the computer. Now for a post prandial nap after a substantial breakfast.
