    Kidney disease /failure

This is a problem that seems to be more and more common. The kidneys seem to quit working and the doctors answer is dialysis and kidney transplant. A large percentage of the time this is the problem
What has happen to the kidneys is the blood has trouble flowing through. It is much like the kitchen sinks plugging up well clean out the plug and you back in business. It is that simple clean out those very fine afferent arteries. There is nothing wrong with the kitchen sinks when the drain plugs also there is nothing wrong when the kidneys plug.
Afferent arteries are so fine they only let one blood cell at a time go though and when they plug the kidney puts out a hormone called renin which increases the blood pressure to push the blood through the kidney. The kidneys function is to remove excess water out of the blood [urine].
Stopping what caused the arteries to plug and good nutrition to open them is the answer.
The cause for years was blamed on cholesterol but now they know it is not it is trans fats, oils, processed meats are the main culprits.
Mega doses of minerals and vitamins especially B’s can clean out and repair damaged arteries.
There has been people who have been on dialysis for year correct their diet and take proper nourishment doctor have taken them off their dialysis.
    Kidney stone
This too is becoming very common as people are not getting enough calcium in their diet. The blood PH is very strictly controlled by the body and one thing the body uses to make the blood alkaline is calcium and if there is not enough calcium in the diet the parathyroid will release a hormone which will put it out of the bone and teeth. The kidneys will remove it from the blood causing the stones. So people with kidney stones usually have osteoporosis and high blood calcium. Calcium in the diet will get deposited into the bones and teeth if the blood PH is within normal range.
There is over one hundred different ailments related to a calcium deficiency.

Do you know that our country is one of the so called kidney farms? There are brokers who mediate with buyers and sellers of kidney. The demand is high for kidney transplant and rich patients are willing to pay as high as $10,000 for a kidney. But the donor usually gets just a little over $1,000 net and the rest goes to the broker and his connections in the hospital (staff who tips the broker of a patient in need of a kidney).

Donors are easily found in the rural areas because they are easier to lure with the promised payment. In the province, $1,000 is big money and some people think that it is already a fortune so they bite the bait. There was one story about a poor man needing money in support of his parents so he sold his kidney to be able to put up a small business.

Dialysis is getting popular here and the major cause is diabetes. By the way, my husband's father died of renal failure although he did not undergo dialysis... simply because he refused.

I recently started taking medicine for high blood pressure. After taking it for a while my blood test showed my kidney function was out of normal limits so he changed my meds. I'll have another blood test when I go back in a couple of weeks. I guess monitoring kidney function is a part of taking hypertension medication.

I have a cousin who has to travel 50 miles, 3 days a week to have dialysis treatment at a VA hospital. It would be great if veterans could get treatment locally.

It would be nicer to get off dialysis and that is possible.

Dr Joel Wallach has been able to get people off dialysis by using mega doses of vitamins and minerals.

I have been at stage 3 for quite a few years now. My GFR was down into the 30’s for a while, but I did change my diet and it got better, and has been in the mid-40’s for the last several years.
I am still trying to get it to work better, but with the heart failure, it makes it harder to keep any part of me working right, although the healthy diet and supplementation does help me a lot.
I am now changing over from coffee to herbal coffee, like chicory and dandelion, both of which are supposed to be helpful for kidneys and liver function.

Look into using an oximeter they check your pulse and oxygen level in the blood [cheap] use it as a way of checking your pulse before and after eating to see if you have a problem with a food or supplement Check out pulse testing for allergies and intolerances on the net.

I have that on my Apple Watch, so. It monitors my blood oxygen as well as my pulse. My blood oxygen seems to mostly be right up in the 95+ percentile, and the pacemaker keeps my heart rate from going below 80, and speeds it up when I wam walking or exercising. I will make a point to check before and after eating, thank you for the information.

You're probably aware, but 95% is on the low side of normal and the high side of abnormal, unless they changed that in the past twenty years. In an ambulance, we'd administer oxygen to someone with a pulse oximeter reading of 95% or below. Of course, these were people who already knew they were having a problem.

Mine is usually between 95-100%; but does often drop down much lower than that. Here is what my chart looks like for the past month, which is about the same variations as always.
My Apple Watch keeps track of it for me, and it shows up on my health app on the phone, or i can choose to have it checked by asking the watch to check it.

Mine will occasionally drop to 95%, although it's usually 97% or 98%. Although I have no particular reason to, I have a pulse oximeter so I check it periodically.
