I still have scans every 3 months. So far, so good. Keep up the good work, Beth. We all have more aches and pains each day as we age, but they fade quickly.
Hi Lois! Nice to hear from you. I had my 3-month checkup yesterday and my oncologist told me that the cancer treatment I had can actually accelerate arthritis symptoms. So he wasn't concerned about my joint pain as far as a recurrence. I have my annual mammogram next week and then an appointment with the ophthalmologist because I'm still having issues with my eye. It's always something!
@Beth Gallagher - happy to know your dping good and going strong ! @Tony Page glad to see you back and your wife ding better !
I hear you, Beth. I am having problems with walking as I suffer knee and hip pain like never before. But, I have to roll with the punches. As do we all, eh wot? Keep the faith, kiddo.
Wow, tempus certainly does fugit. I can't believe it has been two years since my brush with mortality; seems like only yesterday I was hooked up to the chemo apparatus and wondering what the hell happened to my life (and my hair). So I suppose the Year of Hell was worth it; I'm still around to aggravate all of you. I hope my friends @Lois Winters , @Babs Hunt , and Mrs. @Tony Page are also doing well. If anyone has heard from Babs, please ask her to check in and let us hear from her. I know others on the forum have also had their brushes with The Big C or other health issues, and I'm glad that all of you are doing well, too. Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays everyone. Life truly is short, and it's hell being reminded of our looming expiration dates!
Can't believe it's 2 years ago that you started your stressful Journey to health, you had your ups and downs but you handle it with determination and wonderful logic. Have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful and healthy New Year Tony
And I for one am extremely happy that you are! Thank you much for the good wishes Beth and I do pray that you and yours may have a most blessed Christmas as well !
It's really been that long? Unbelievable. What a long, strange trip it's been, huh? Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas/Happy New Year!!!
I can't believe it either, Tony. Time keeps on slippin' by, faster all the time. I hope that you and your family have a wonderful holiday season and soon can put all the stress of your past year in the rearview mirror. I wish you the best possible holidays, Tony.
Right back atcha', Bobby. I hope that you, Yvonne, and your family have a happy and healthy holiday season.
It is hard to believe. I wonder why it seems that the older one gets, the faster time passes. I must ponder. I hope you're doing OK these days, John. I know your own health problems have been worrying and I hope for better days ahead for you. Take care, bud. Merry Christmas.
