Over The Target: As I understand it, the FL Supreme Court approved the statewide grand jury to investigate COVID-19 vaccines. Noting DeSantis was the only governor to push for and then take such action, it seems he is now taking flak from (unnamed) physicians and health experts. From The Hill: Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R) petition for a grand jury investigation into COVID-19 vaccines, in which he decries the ongoing vaccine campaign as “propaganda” by the Biden administration, is drawing fierce criticism from health experts. Physicians and public health experts say his request betrays decades of established procedure designed to ensure the safety and efficacy of the vaccines, and only serves to stoke further immunization fears. More at Source. Several thoughts come to mind: Investigations of and transparency into the efficacy of medical treatments should be welcomed if things are kosher. The scientific method allows anyone at any time to question, investigate, challenge results and/or hypothesize. The response by "health experts" would seem to be less than scientific in nature. What's the problem? What, if anything, is being hidden?. Pressure from the MSM, Current government administration, Big Pharma, FBI, etc. to shut down the investigation is likely to be enormous. If you're taking flak, it's likely you're over a target that has something to hide or protect. Where's Trump on this? What are your thoughts?
After 10 years of absolute criminality committed by the democrat congress, FBI and Intelligence leaders, all of which had taken money from said party. Nothing surprises me and now knowing DeSantis will most likely run for President every little thing will be thrown out there just like they still are doing to Trump. More smoke and mirrors and most likely coup de tat number two is already in the works. For anyone to disbelieve what is going on shows a very narrow view. There is so much evidence to prove the crimes being committed against a political opponent it is historical.
My instincts, for right or wrong, tell me that DeSantis won't be the pushover that Trump was. He seems smarter, tougher, less inclined to alienate others and better at choosing people. Edit Note Addition: It took balls and some smarts to take on an icon like Disney, kick their butt and come out the winner.
My instincts suggest that DeSantis won't alienate others because he's part of the crowd, whereas Trump was an outsider and not in on the game.
I can't speak for anyone but myself, but Trump was a bully and a fool for posting continuous name-calling tripe on social media. If he had had any "presidential" demeanor he'd probably have easily won a second term. Some of us were simply sick of his ego. Now he needs to go away.
What evidence do you have that DeSantis is "part of the crowd"? Trump was certainly "part of the crowd" when he pushed the CDC/Fauci BS.
I guess it doesn't matter any more because by the time a Republican wins again the country will be totally broke and in one of the worst depressions recorded. With so much gouging and stealing taking place we're already in the spiral.
About That Drag Queen Christmas Event For Children: Read this in The Floridian yesterday: Through the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is formally investigating the “A Drag Queen Christmas” event that took place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Monday, December, 26th. The Floridian first reported that the traveling drag queen show that took place at the Broward Center for Performing Arts Center appears to have exposed minor children to simulated sexual acts. More at Source: What other politicians are addressing this? Where's Trump on this issue?
Trump was the first President who address child sex trade and was actually returning kids to their families.
My Senator, Ron Johnson, is fighting to expose the negative effects of the vaccines and restrictions. I am not for Trump running again but he made emergency decisions, maybe a bit too quickly. It was a difficult, fearful time. Biden didn't do better. I and mine made our own decisions. But we are not 'employed'.
Hilarious thread; I'll try to keep up with it. Finally, some of you guys are waking up to Trump. How long did it take for you? Like banging your head against a brick wall to wake up some folks. HaHa from a native NYer who first "met" Trump at 17. Well, you had to be there I guess. So funny it would be if not the national tragedy it is.
Waking up? Many of us were never asleep. Trump is like others with both good and bad points. Although certainly better than the current Idiot-In-Chief, he may be more preferable than some candidates and less so than others, depending on what you want in a leader. As for native New Yorkers, many might remind you of chickens crowing on their own dung heap. I hope you're not one of those.
My point being, since it was unclear, is that I have had the benefit of Trumpism since 1966 when he and daddy were building their buildings across the street from my high school and dropped in for a chat. First time Donald came on my radar. Thank you, John, I'm not one of those. Learned early not to shit where one sleeps or eats. Have a good day.
It is not a question of waking up. I am from New York till 18. Trump was a showman who new how to work the system. But him or Hillary? No question. He stopped Agenda 21 while he was prez and other agendas. Sadly they were only postponed and Trump's momentum was derailed. Desantis may knock agendas off track again, hopefully.
