I don't care for beliefs because that's a leftist view, like wokes arguing that their beliefs matter even if they are discredited, or parroting the inane claim that all opinions matter. I prefer data sets and scientific studies, and then using others to counter them. That's a rightwing view. What data sets and studies can you offer to counter what I shared?
Tribal police and paramedics on the scene with State police and Pendleton paramedic assisting. 3 being treated so far with one being life-flighted. The shooter is in custody as of 13:50 PST update as I type -- another wounded needs life flight and all area services on site.
The latest story is the guy was trying to rob the casino and tribal police responded and the robber and one bystander were shot. They were hospitalized and both stable. No one was life-flighted. Who fired the shots is unclear at this point.
Wow! Wildhorse. We stayed there in that casino's RV park for a few days while exploring Pendleton and the area. Extremely nice people in the casino and in the RV park.
There's no need to. You didn't offer anything persuasive. Of course, you can believe whatever you wish.
When data sets and studies are biased and contrived to validate one viewpoint and bear no parallel to what we can see can and hear, then quoting such is misleading and creates false narratives. I hate it when someone's only argument is, "quote your sources or produce the data," because that is death to any creative thinking and productive discussion.
That usually means that they've got nothing, so they want to send you on an errand in the hopes that the subject will either go away or that no one will be able to follow it. Of course, if you take the bait and come back with whatever it is that they're asking for, they'll want something else. They do this when they don't have the power to shut you up or shut you down.
I just seen this on our BBC News Site. Apparently, it's not known how the boy got a hold of the gun but the teacher has been left with life threatening injuries. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-64194407
So the school has the capability to monitor what the kids bring to school but only used that capability in a random manner. Okay, so 6 and 7 year old kids normally do not haul guns to school so they can shoot their teacher but just on the chance that a kid would bring a firearm or other dangerous weapons to school for “show and tell” would be enough of a reason to check everyone.
I remember when kids used to have parents that were willing and able to teach them the difference between right and wrong.
Sigh, another year of unnecessary deaths. Moral ethics if nothing else need to be instilled in all people.
Now they are more concerned with "their pronouns" and keeping them brain-dead with electronic devices. I remember that when I was in high school, many pickup trucks in the student (and teacher) parking lots at school had gun racks... and guns. No one ever got shot.
I don't recall anyone bringing a gun into school except for the hunting and firearms classes, but all males carried knives . Everybody with a car, even some of the girls, had guns in their cars or trucks, especially during hunting season.
