I like your favorite too. I like my favorite because the words "for thou are with me" feel very special and take me to the next level. I usually pause, or bow my head, or do something in response.

Amen on those gotchas! The state of "What you don't know that you don't know" is "chaos" whereas "What you know you know" is "order". I think Jordan Peterson, an interesting guy, said something like that somewhere.

The whole Psalm is a somewhat curious but soothing piece. Curious because up until the point where he starts with “Yea tho I walk”, he is speaking about God but after that point he is speaking To God until the last verse when he refers to himself.

Shifting gears from about-God, to-God, and about-self is an interesting analysis. Incidentally, what I like about the psalms and the entire Bible is the Fog Index (readability level) is only 6 (sixth grader reading level), and yet it is able to express the most profound thoughts with clarity, brevity, simplicity, and an occasional touch of elegance. Beautiful writing! I like the King James version.

About 6th grade yes but the book of Job is studied all over the world as one of the best examples of perfectly written literature.
I too like the KJV and if perhaps you want a fun challenge, the 1611 version where to go.

Bobby, thanks for this reply. I will reread the book of Job because I enjoy great writing. I was unaware of Job's high worldwide rating. Also, the KJV 1611 is something I did not know about. After a quick Google check, I see that this version has a high regard for its literary excellence. There was a Google warning, however, about the many knock-off Bibles claiming to be 1611. I will check Amazon to see if I can find an authentic 1611 version. I am looking forward to a Job reread and finding a genuine 1611 KJV. Thanks again.
