Since the FBI was called in right away, they are probably going to refer it to the Jan 6 Committee for investigation. If it was a Trump supporter, it was an insurrection, but if it was Antifa, it was a mostly peaceful protest.
More power substation attacks in the news ! One was near the naval base in Rhode Island, as well as five more that happened in Oregon and Washington. Apparently , some of the attacks happened around Thanksgiving, but did not make headline news like the ones in North Carolina did. With the cold winter weather, it makes these attacks so much harder for people, and no one guards the substations, so they are easy to attack and take out the power grid, I think we have not seen the last of this yet. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...city-substations-Washington-Oregon-month.html
I have read that terror cells sometimes do this sort of thing prior to a big attack, just to gauge response, recovery time, and effectiveness. We will see what comes of all this.
One person has been found dead in the area without power. They haven't determined whether they died because of the power outage or if they would have died anyway. If the person died because of the power outage, doesn't it make the pieces of crap, who did it, guilty of murder?
So far around Oregon and Washington, just the big cities. I doubt they will try it out here since our major ones are watched and it wouldn't affect as many people but might be a problem for Google and Amazon which have their own security forces, so they might end up getting shot. We see homeland security vehicles around here on occasion so hopefully, anyone eyeballing the substations with the rifle in hand might just vanish forever. Possibly second-degree murder, but more likely manslaughter.
Nevada installed safe devices that keep large birds from damaging the lines. Also devices to protect the lines from extreme high winds.
I saw an opinion piece that riots and other actions an allowed to slide so when the populous want it"fixed," all we have to do is have those dangerous 1st and 2nd Amendment rights diminished (or negated), for our freedoms are the cause of it all.
We have a ton of bad guys out there. Late afternoon my friend that lives near me told me that a girl living on the corner of my street was shot 3 times last night around 12. I was sleeping pretty good because I heard nothing and would have never known anything if he hadn't told me about it. It started last week when this guy she was living with shot two other men where she worked, a truck stop and fuel place on that I-10 after coming over the long bridge from Lafayette. So the guy shot two others that both had guns and he is in jail and she must have come home a couple days later. My friend had mentioned that to me at the time and I said then look out because they will be after her. This was another drug related incident with the usual players involved and the real shocker is how peaceful it is normally around here. Just three years ago a couple living in the same place had the boyfriend beat and shoot the girl several times and then took her body and dropped her into a bayou nearby. I guess the place must have a witches spell on it. I really wish I still owned my handgun because a couple hundred feet from where I am sleeping is getting a bit to close for comfort. The fact is there is no safe space in America due to the class of people we have living amongst us. You just have to be prepared and take notice of your surroundings if out in public. I narrowly missed being killed in Vietnam several times, the most significant time was when some drunken fool on the other side of the wall was fighting with another drunken fool and he shot at the guy with his rifle missing him but the rounds coming over my bed while I was laying there. He was taken to the stockade and I never saw him again. To be honest I felt much safer over there than here in America. There was a time when known sick people were locked up simply because they were an inherent danger to the people around them. They closed all the institutions that housed all the misfits and now they are unleashed onto the public. I am happy I stay home and I am missing nothing that I can't do without. I don't have great hearing any longer but at night I hear cars sneaking around close to my place and I wonder what to hell are they doing out there this time of night and trying to not make any noise. Usually one fool near me comes home and that boom boom boom crap coming from his vehicle vibrates everything around the street I live on. I would love to do one of those Steve McQueen imitations of that movie he made with Ali McGraw, The Getaway,. but he and her were on the run and passing thru some small town in Tx the local law saw them so they pulled over to the curb and he walked inside a gun store and ask for a shotgun and shells and the owner gave them to him and he walked outside about the time those police pulled up in front of his vehicle, he stepped out into the street and blew the radiator out of their car then the hood and tires and siren off the roof. Well that is how I feel when that idiot drives into the neighborhood with out any respect for any other citizen living here making so much noise it is dangerous to your hearing. I would love to blow his car from under him. I can't do it because the shot gun of choice would be that riot gun that was used in the military. If you can find one it cost over 5000 dollars so that makes if safe for that idiot. Maybe someone with more money than myself will do it.
On the other hand, my ex and I got married in the late 70s. We lived in a nice apartment complex in the Vienna/Fairfax (Northern Virginia) area. When we got back from our honeymoon, we heard there had been a murder in the building on the other side of our parking lot. Drug related...cut their throats with a broken ashtray. Yeh, I started keeping my shotgun loaded, but at that time these things were less random. If you weren't in "the life," your exposure was minimal. I recently read a piece in The American Thinker stating that the tactic behind allowing this (and riots, etc) to continue is so people will eject their freedoms for security. This stuff is all caused by "those dangerous 1st Amendment and 2nd Amendment rights." According to The Plan, those absolute rights (even though they are not) lead to misuse and you are paying the price. Spoiled Americans are mostly too stupid to push back and say "It was fine before you stopped enforcing the laws."
I thought that of the shootings in Chicago. Why weren't the shooters stopped and put away with all the laws. Sometimes hundreds of shootings in a day. Well maybe They wanted to institute marshal law when all hell broke loose. Hasn't happened yet.
Over the Christmas weekend, four more substations in Western Washington near the Seattle/Tacoma area were attacked. Putting thousands of people out of power. https://lynnwoodtimes.com/2022/12/26/power-substations-sabotaged-221226/

Has anyone heard of anyone being arrested for all this burglary and vandalism? I assume that it was organized terrorism cells pulling it off if no one has been arrested.
