Strange things are going on in China. There are reports of widespread deaths from whatever is going on there. Is it the original Covid ? Is it a more contagious, more deadly strain of Covid? Is it a new virus altogether? For some reason, the Chinese authorities who were locking people onto their houses when Covid first emerged and they had a "zero Covid policy" are now allowing everyone out and are even allowing travel for New Year's. What is happening? If you studied the 1918 Influenza epidemic/pandemic, the flu revived in a deadlier form after the first wave passed. Is that what is happening here? I have seen reports of fatality rates as high as 40% reported out of China. Any opinions on this?
As much as I place little credence in what comes out of our government (without verification), I believe even less of what comes out of China.
I have never disregarded the theory that Dr. Fauci's viruses and their vaccines were all about decreasing the population. Perhaps the really important people, whose names we may not even know, have a vaccine that actually works. Otherwise, if this is indeed something that is hitting China as an unplanned event, it would make sense that, if they can't control it in their country, they'd want to spread it around. Either way, there will be someone who won't be letting a crisis go to waste.
It just struck me as odd that the Chinese have totally reversed their policy on lockdowns. They went from welding people in houses to total freedom as they are experiencing much of what we went through with the original strain just about 2 years ago now, with hospitals full and people dying every where, especially in Shanghai. Their totals will be higher than ours due to the greater population, although percentages may be the same or lower. Several Canadian scientists have lost their posts recently for shipping dangerous viruses to China from Canadian labs, a bit like what happened with the original Covid when it was constructed using American and Canadian technology, the use of which is outlawed in both countries as far as I know. It has all been shipped to China and Ukraine for research which is illegal here. Why did the Chinese government decide to reverse course at this time just before the New Year celebration when they have been so strict for the past two years. Something smells here, but I don't know what.
Let us not forget the scale of the protests in China against the 'extremely harsh' lockdowns that seem to have gone on forever over there. People finally had enough and rebelled and China has lifted 'apparently' all restrictions as a result. What I am wondering about is that as other countries are imposing Covid tests on travellers 'from' China, China has opened up it's doors to people travelling 'into' China and is NOT happy about other countries imposing these tests. Firstly, who in there right mind would want to go to China given what is going on over there ? Second, does China really expect other countries to just let travellers from China into their countries without any checks ? Didn't the world already make that mistake once - I know the UK took it's sweet time about doing anything. Apparently, China is threatening some kind of retaliation against those countries seeking to protect their citizens !

Yeah, Nancy Pelosi et al. denounced Trump for restricting travel to and from China at the beginning of the Covid mess. China may have a motive to spread the virus if it is a new one or a different strain of Covid. We are projected to be at war with China before summer, so....
I remember my mother telling me there would be another world war in my lifetime - the way things are going atm, I'm beginning to think she may have been right ! I know there were problems around the world before Covid happened, but it just seems like the world has gone crazy now.
