You are right, @Beth Gallagher ! It is on mine and not on Bobby’s. However, if Ken activated this for everyone, we could all put our country information on there, and it might be easier than whatever it is he is thinking about doing (I have no clue).
If you click on "Personal Details," the blank he's using is the "Custom Title" blank. It would replace your "Supreme Member" label, though. It may not be there for members who aren't staff, however. I'll set up a field for it within a week.
I just noticed that I am a "supreme" member. This must have happened with my 5th anniversary which is TODAY. (And not a single party on SoC!!!) I'll just leave this here.
That may be just for staff. I'll set up an optional field for it within a week. I don't think it'll be a problem. I'd rather not replace the member titles, anyhow.
I wouldn't mind having the Custom Title blank. Then I could be "Forum Wiseass" or something. (Don't do it, Brunner!!!)
I'm a User on another Xenforo forum and have that option. Interesting how many was there are to set these things up.
You have a picture of a car under the title 'Avatar'. That's appropriate. "Do you avatar?" "Yes, I do. Four of them and a spare."
Beth is also mean to me sometimes - a typical case of reverse attraction. My mom's name was Elizabeth, for real. Beth, will you remind me to wear my gloves when I go outside?
I find the custom title a nice feature and also I think in addition being able to add a location in general. really adds to the forum experience. Why would anyone that is super private want to join a public forum? I understand with seniors, especially single women, why we don't give out our phone numbers and address and maybe just location in general, but if one can't give out their country and a state or providence, then why be on a forum other than to push an agenda? Agenda pushing and trolling seems to be the main reason for those that post like they are in witness protection. Personally, I don't like interacting with those that never give out any kind of info that makes them a real person. How do we know we aren't interacting with artificial intelligence? Just my opinion but I prefer not to have titles based on how much someone post or how many likes they get. I like to see just the numbers and when they joined and where they are from (in general). I think personal titles would be nice if they were descriptive of that person. Example: I have used "Eccentric Comedian" on forums before. I find the banners announcing one's authority a bit intimidating, especially when they have several titles and a simple one-line post takes up 6" vertical space in a thread. IMO all that is necessary is a title and location. IOW Ken would be "The Big Guy" from Millinocket, Maine. Enough said. Just some thoughts from a cranky old lady after one solid week of rain here in the Wild Wild Northwest where the once men now women are increasing and the women aren't proud of it.
One forum I visit displays a tiny pic of the country flag of the member. I thought that was a nice touch and interesting without being that revealing. I’ve had to search for a number of flags.
I noticed that girl, and I guess I will have to start being nicer to you now. Concerning the growing number of Supreme members, I quote the real Supremes. STOP! - In the name of love - before you break my heart, think it o o ver!
