I have a new name for 'weather forecasts' - Humbug ! Yesterday had been forecast for rain all day Today was forecast - no rain until 4pm In both cases - Wrong. It was actually the other way around. Today it rained all day right up to 4pm
We don't have a whole lot of snow but we're in the single digits, and is supposed to reach 1 degree tonight.
We’ve had quite a spell of hot to very hot weather and it’s set to continue for sometime yet About 102f today 39 c
We were under tornado watch all night here in Florida, one hit my granddaughters' job yesterday in NE Alabama. They all got into the rest room; she said it tore the place up pretty bad. Nobody was hurt, thank goodness. We had some strong winds, hope no trees on fence. Will see when I take my walk. @Yvonne Smith , did y'all get any of this storm?
We just missed it here in Huntsville, @Marie Mallery . It was really dark and ugly for a while, but the bad storms went south of us, from what we saw. About the only tine we actually watch television is when we have tornadoes forecast, and they were showing us semi trucks blown over out on the highway near here, but I did not hear of anything really bad happening .
Oh my, as I said, granddaughters workplace was hit and she took a picture of it, then a man ran from warehouse to office and threw her into restroom. She said she has never been that afraid. Tore the place up pretty bad.
We got a bunch of snow last night, and today it's raining, so things are going to be pretty messy around here. Either that, or very slippery.
We were under a tornado threat here last night, so we brought in the 2-yard dogs, didn't want to have to look threw a disaster for them, so just in case. Old dog is always inside. Just high winds ,no tornado. Will see if we lost any trees when I take my walk.
After being in the 20s F. for a few days, we are back down to -4 F. Days are getting a bit longer, though, so that will help in a few weeks. No new snow.
It's been inching up a degree at a time since I came online, currently 19 degrees, not supposed to be much warmer today.
I've banned people for far less than that, you know. On that same topic, when a friend of mine in the Rio Grande Valley was complaining about the heat one summer, I posted our 70 degree temperatures here. His response was, "Get back to me in February."
A cold front came through yesterday and the temperature dropped down to the mid 70s and everyone is freezing here. Wearing winter clothing. It is a laugh for an retired Canadian but I have been here long enough to feel it.
