Yes, I ask the question, but it seem like if I don't follow some members advice, I'm a "bad guy". Asking a question and/or requesting information doesn't deserve a "this is what you should do, so do it". Sounds more like demand than anything else. Lots of people complain about people who judge others, but like I've stated numerous times, so many people on this forum judge different things, including anything/everything that Biden does and anyone that approves/understands about the Covid 19 vaccines. Dr. Fauci was judged by many members on here. So, we ALL judge!! Just remember that word "all". In one way or another even those that say "you're not suppose to judge, indeed do it themselves. So, for now, and perhaps forever, I leave the forum to you folks. I just got thru saying that in the Tattoo thread.
Judging actions and things, and judging people are not the same thing. Politicians and criminals like Dr. Fauci are fair game. Why the drama? You're welcome to come and go, as you please. I like having you here, but I'm not so fond of the drama. If you go, I'll miss you. When and if you come back, I'll be pleased. Either way, we'll be here.
Same song, different day. More repetitive whining and mini-drama, when the topic of tolerance could have been interesting to discuss but got side-tracked. My tolerance level is rapidly declining. “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”--Albert Einstein
Matthew 7 1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. 3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
This discussion, from the get-go, has baffled me. The question is posed in the title if there is a way to find tolerance, yet the opening post and following replies, convey other trains of thought and I struggle to see any answer if there is a way to tolerance. It reminds me of the old joke about the old deaf man that told his wife he wished for more understanding. She then ask if he was desiring a more powerful brain. Thinking she said train, he replied, "No thanks I will take the bus."
If perchance someone closely passes by your table at a restaurant with his pants pulled down to his knees and his butt is in your face and you say nothing even though you are thinking that you’d like to slap him just to get his attention, That’s tolerance.
Sometimes tolerance is seen as weakness, not always of course. I like Latinos had some good times with some of them at work and social occasions, but I don't care for 'illegals' [ many legals don't like them either], yet I also understand our leaders and others who benefit financially from them are at fault. Live and let live long as it doesn't affect me or mine.
I think we could go a long way towards that goal by just remembering what this country is about. Individual Liberty. We all have the right to say, think, read, do, anything we want, as long as we don’t interfere with someone else’s right to do the same. Unfortunately, our country is consumed by group think. Instead of realizing and admitting that every individual citizen of this country has the exact same rights, people want to define rights for select groups. And if you’re not a part of that group, you need to STFU and submit to being indoctrinated. Sad state of affairs.
