We got an e-mail yesterday from our complex manager requesting music and tv's be turned down. She said, from last weekend, she got numerous complaints about loud music and tv sound. She put in the message about the complex rental agreement policy about noise. Don't know where it was coming from, because we heard nothing. Since very few old/older people live here, it has to be the young adults doing it. Then again, if it's not young folks blaring their music/tv, it could be older folks that have hearing problems. We don't use them all of the time, but we bought a pair of TV-EARS that are worn. Once these are on, the tv sound can be completely muted, but the sound comes thru the "Ears". We basically got them, because there are certain programs where the sound is so low, we can't hear what is being said, and that's with our tv up a little. With the TV-EARS, we can hear everything on the tv, but nobody else can.
We bought theses 10 years ago. This brand is discontinued now, but there are others. They are great for when your hearing isn't so good anymore. We don't watched tv without them on. I have some friends and family who liked them so much, they got a pair too. The TV stays muted with the headphones on. Digital Wireless Headphones
