@Thomas Stillhere -- I do remember that song, very well. I guess I didn't know who sung it, though. From Google, it appears that Randy Corner died last year, and the list of songs he recorded does not include this one. https://www.google.com/search?clien...PafCTBe30ONjPvrRkLKSXNR9bxRlRXD4-YXvLjtrciBPZ So maybe that is Randy VanWarmer in the video you posted.
Possible but he is really young and that song might have been one of his first before he started using last name Corner and became popular. I might not have the years in order but the song I remember very well. I can't ask anyone who is still living that also knew of him because I haven't been on facebook for a long time. It's a mystery now, I have never saw this name before but I have seen Randy Corner multiple times in the early to mid 70s on stage. He became very popular and made a lot of money and that's how the western swing came about. Maybe his producers didn't like the name
No, they were two different people. Here's the info on VanWarmer; he died in 2004 at age 48. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=Randy+VanWarmer
The seconf one,' Massachusetts' is a really nice song, both lyrics and music.I like both of them but really like that one.
I had the 8tract and saw Chicago in concert in 70s. Not one of my favorite bands byt a couple songs were I liked.
