Put all ingredients except the oil into stock pot or other suitable pot or pan.

Simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Let sit 30 minutes or longer.

Dry off brats. Brush with oil. Grill.

I just buy a spicy beer seasoned brat, put it on the grill, open a beer pour one sip on the brat for every 10 sips taken, and then I open another beer and just drink it. If the grill is too hot, I may have to chug a lug to finish at the same time the brat is done. A perfectly done brat calls for a freshly opened ice-cold beer. :)

    Ingredients

    1 brat
    3 cold beers
