I have a Chinese friend who told me English was a lot easier to learn than Mandarin. I should send her here to learn English as a third, fourth and fifth language.
I decided to come down here with the bottom feeders where I belong before I get myself into trouble. I feel for the moderators that might have to move three repeat topics posted as fresh questions and find an old thread they should be posted under. I am proud of myself for coming down here rather than interacting with the scathing sarcasm that flashed through my mind. I have to remind myself it is better to pass up on threads, of a negative nature, with hypothetical questions meant to cause controversy, so those that respond can be schooled by the OP on what the bible or their spouse says. It troubles me that these types of threads seem to go on for pages and get lots of attention, while a well-thought-out thread gets little response. I first fault myself if I respond. I had made more than my share of serious well thought out posts today, so what I need is a thread where I can make "smarty pants" comments without offending anyone. Does such a thread exist? Is it possible to be a "smarty pants" without offending anyone? Inquiring minds need to know.
Someone will be offended. I think that was in 'the rules'. Maybe you could start one under 'No sure where it goes'. I guess I missed today's fireworks.
There were no fireworks just the gasoline but no one struck a match. Hahaha! Working on some bitmojis to stay out of trouble.
@Faye Fox , I've been looking for a place to tell you I like your new hair do. Now you've done gone and changed your avatar.
My doo is the first post of this thread. Maybe I will bring it back as my avatar since the back of my head is my best look hahaha!
I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you guys who respect that women can be intelligent and have the ability to understand science and contribute to conversations without quoting sources and pasting links. It amazes me that if a guy posts the same thing a gal does, he doesn't get confronted with cite your source and post links that prove you have a basis for your opinion. With that said, "Thank you!" It did my mind good to get out for a walk today and go to the store that sells Burt's Lip Balm in four packs for $12. Individually they sell for $4.I saved $4 since I always buy 4 although the four packs are a variety pack and not all my favorite pomegranate because of the light red color it leaves on the lips. It did have one pomegranate, so I will save that one for making public appearances. I am watching the series "Ghost" again from the beginning. It is such a great commentary on dealing with other people. I love the wit, the sarcasm, the humor, the history, and the story in general. The ghost helping to expose a phony neighbor makes me wish my place was haunted hahaha! If you enjoy a look into human nature, you might enjoy this show.
I use Chapstick on my lips year round. It makes lips moist and luscious. I buy it at Walmart in a four pack. My favorite flavor is cherry. It has three of those and one blueberry. I like blueberries, too.
I use it year around also because my climate is dry and I hate dry lips. I put on an extra dose before bedtime because it seems to help fight dry mouth.
