So glad I found you today, thanks for letting me in. I live in the black forest with a young family, two sons 8 and 12 and a partner 11 years longer.
Welcome to the community, @Joseph Ball. It is nice to have someone from the Continent join our forum.
I moved from the UK to be here, the language is a beautiful enigma, and the culture an endless source of fascination.
Welcome from the state of Virginia, Joseph. My father's parents were German (his middle name was Rhone), but I've never visited the Fatherland.
Welcome to the forum. My cousin (born the day before me) took his discharge from the Army in Germany and has been there ever since. We both grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, in the US, but he has been back to the States only twice, according to his sister.
Welcome from Maryland, USA. I worked for many years for a very old, prestigious optical manufacturer in Wetzlar. I only got to visit for 1 week though but thoroughly enjoyed it.
I think you will like where ever you land. Germany is very clean, always impressed at how that's not chaged over the decades. .
