The cupboards were almost bare. Eggs fried in butter, over easy, with toast. I forgot how good fried eggs are. .
Am marinating skinless chicken breasts, Kinders BBQ sauce with a extra dash of honey. Will cook in air fryer then make mac and cheese my way, and possibly pork and beans and red onion to top off.
I saw a woman on youtube using canned biscuits for her dumplings. She rolled them out flat and then cut them. I might try that one day when I'm short on time.
It's been years since I've made chicken & dumplings. I got the recipe from my Good Housekeeping cookbook. They were basic drop dumplings (flour, baking powder, parsley, salt, milk, oil), and were very good when cooked on top of that homemade chicken stew. Man. Guess what I want now...
