It has been 21 years since the 9/11 attacks and the U.S. using military force against al-Qaeda and the Taliban. 11 years since we tracked down Usama Bin Laden and killed him, as he was in hiding in his lair in Pakistan. It has been 7 years since the last major terrorist attack in Paris, France, Feb 13, 2015 where coordinated teams of terrorists murdered 170 innocent civilians. For the last 7 years, al-Qaeda has been strangely quiet. Yes, there have been numerous small scale terrorist attacks spread across Asia , East Africa, and the East Indies. BUT, nothing of a major scale. Do you think that the killing of Usama Bin laden, the trouncing of the Taliban, and the defeat of Saddam Hussien has taught the terrorists a lesson ? OR, do you think the terrorists will always be at our throats ?
I honestly don’t know. But I see al Qaeda as just a manifestation of something deeper. It might disappear in name but the driving force behind it will simply reappear in a new guise. This stuff has been going on for generations, it’s ingrained in the culture.
While terrorism allegedly goes against the tenants of Islam, there is a percentage of Muslims who believe strongly that they have a moral/ religious obligation to to engage in jihad against any entity which does not obey Sharia law. That means all of us in the west. AND any Muslim country that has a too strong a connection with the west.
I believe we have created a new axis of terrorism. Iran has long been the biggest state-sponsor of terrorism. Now they have two new formal allies--Russia and China. Russia because of a common hatred of the sanctions placed on them by the West (mostly the U.S. and the UK) and China because it has seen opportunities present themselves that will enhance their already strong position on the world stage. The BRICS union along with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization have brought the non-Western powers to a strong position as a reaction to Western sanctions. The hatred in the developing world of our arrogance will bring new theaters to the terrorism war, and North Korea is waiting in the wings. The number of Chinese nationals detected crossing our open southern border has increased 700% since Biden took office, and, while I believe the number is still small, the number who cross undetected may be several times that number. We are awaiting our own destruction as a result of our arrogance.
IMO there is a huge chance that 911 was an inside job. I do know that radical Islam is capable of it but I also know others are too. The woman wrote a book about 911 that very interesting to say the least.
I don't believe it for one second. We not only know the names of the Muslim terrorists, we know the flight schools that they trained at and we have tracked down those who sent money to the terrorists, and we also saw them enter the boarding lines and we all saw the planes deliberately crash into the World Trade Center 1 and 2. I don't know what it is about conspiracy theories, like the Kennedy Assassination, but it appeals to some folks.
Whatever or whoever it was doesn't matter really, and I am not supposed to be discussing politics or conspiracies anymore anyway. A weak moment so excuse me. I'm going back to my music and more positive threads.
That stuff is exactly the info that feeds the conspiracy. The FBI knew the names of all involved within a short time, and had apparently been following their movements.
It is one thing to work backward, from 9/11, and it is another thing to know in advance what someone is going to do.
