We use to put together jigsaw puzzles, spread glue on them and frame. But that was over 10 years ago.

I LOVED jigsaw puzzles when I was young.

At about age 20, I was badly addicted to crossword puzzles. So much so that much of my family would give me Christmas and birthday presents related to them: crossword puzzle dictionaries, poster-sized, dry-erase board-type wall hangings of crosswords, and even toilet paper with crosswords on them.

I burnt out on that and now do Lumosity and, at the suggestion of my doctor, word games. I was worried about getting Alzheimer's, which my father died of. Currently, I am badly addicted to a game on my iPad and iPhone called Word Collect, where you make as many words from 5- to 7-letter words.

You can see that I am on level 10,147. On this game, which is on my iPad. I am on level 6,233 on my iPhone, a testament to my addiction, I suppose.

This thread has made me seek out some online jigsaw puzzles to add to my crossword puzzle addiction. The problem with on-screen jigsaw puzzles is you can't do ones with too many pieces...there's just not enough real estate.

Yes, usually Wordle and that type of puzzle intrigues me.

My wife loves jigsaw puzzles, but now only does them around Christmas. It used to be a family activity with everyone gathered around the island where the puzzle was laid out. We had (have?) a puzzle cloth that allowed them to be rolled up if the space was needed, and re-placed when the space was clear. Now wife/grandma and the grandkids do it when they come over, but I have dropped out and only do crosswords now.

    Oh! I totally forgot Wordle!

My only living sister and I can't talk to one another for long because we disagree on almost everything.

She suggested we both watch a then-new show called This is Us and we could discuss the show. The dysfunction of our family while we grew up made it a perfect choice in tv shows for us.

But then it was over, and we didn't talk for quite some time until she discovered Wordle and now, that's our topic of conversation much of the time.

The fact that one can only play once a day was distressing. Until I discovered a site which offers unlimited games. wordlegame.org
I play there sometimes as well.

I had never heard of Wordle. It's kind of addicting.

I used to do jigsaw puzzles and crosswords but any more, I entertain myself with logic and math puzzles and games.
Other than that, I play mahjong and time it because it involves memory.

I do Word Calm but since they started not recognizing some perfectly good words but accepting some unknown obscure cockamamie words, I am everything but calm, however, I still play it daily.

I do games with puzzles but they are a variety of "types" of puzzles. I have every game Dominigames has made on it's Labyrinth Series, and several others like Fireproof's "The Room" series. I love them, but I also will join in the puzzle-ladies :Dthat gather at our Senior Center once in awhile as they do the table type.

I've put many of these together John, online. You can also take a picture of something you'd like as a puzzle and upload it, cut it into the size pieces you want etc. Neat site ;) :

I'm finding that each puzzle site has features that I like, but no one site has them all. I've not signed up for any of them yet, but think I may soon do so in order to create puzzles from some of my game camera critter pics.

I am surprised at some common words (in my opinion) that are not found in my computer's dictionary or in the dictionary of my word processing software.

    It is intentional.

I don't think I had to sign up to just work the puzzles John, but not sure, let me look again. No, I didn't sign in at all, or sign up ;)

That's right. I've been working puzzles as a visitor on several sites. But I don't think I can create puzzles without an account.
