This just in, from the "thank goodness sanity reigns" department... Chicago Mayor Lightfoot ousted; Vallas, Johnson in runoff https://www.yahoo.com/news/chicago-mayor-lightfoot-taking-8-051345087.html
We can only hope for the sake of those citizens living in Chicago, that whoever wins, that city will see a complete turn around. What a shame it has become what it is today. Of course, this holds for many formerly lovely metropolises in this nation.
Here is what she says is the reason she lost the election……… of course, she was a black woman in America when she won the election, too, but I guess that doesn’t count ?
Her comment is utterly stupid. I am surprised she didn’t play the lesbian card, as well. She was a terrible mayor is why she lost! She turned her back on the police officers and school teachers.
Not much ever changes in Chicago, or Illinois. Unfortunately, Chicago, "The Democrat Machine” pretty much controls the whole state.
I am so sick of these stupid race card excuses for the overt inability to perform a job one has been tasked with. Get a new mantra or stay mum.
Yet another display of the arrogance & ignorance of so many blacks in America. And the many of them in a position of authority.
Having had some experiences in both downstate Illinois and Chicago, things have changed a lot over the decades. As young kids, my cousin and I would take the trains (i.e., the suburban electric and "El" all over Chicago by ourselves and without any fear. In later years, it seemed the Cook Country democrats amalgamated with the mob, socialist party and labor unions to totally corrupt the body politic, including many republicans. .I also watched Chicago reach its political tentacles into downstate cities and counties and pretty much take over the state. Remember where Saul "Rules for Radicals" Alinsky came from? I am so glad I left the state decades ago.
