I had the url saved on another drive but forgot which one and I just happened to find it. He put this up on youtube a long time ago and it has become impossible to find it. This was the Navy gunship team 7 at Can Tho across the river Binh Thuey just before the team stood down. Their teams never stayed at the same base or airfield and moved around often to where they were needed to take care of their own missions. Most were putting in Seals and covering them coming out. Very good movie because it shows some good footage and guys just being guys at times. My Bn Hq was across the Bassac River from where the video was made. The friend Doug lives in Alabama. Haven't talked to him since I left facebook. Their tenure only saw 5000 men over the entire time they were active. They operated much different than Army gunships which fought at low level tree top. Doug called us the Calvary heh

Lot of CCR and the Door's in the video. War is hell and the young do the fighting while the big wigs sit in their leisure chairs. I visited them at a couple VAs and nobody insulted or spit on them in my presence. Why spit on the boys, and not the pigs who sent them there? I'm for war if necessary but not for the evil ones bank accounts or the military industrial complex. Lost some friends and some family came back really messed up mentally. Bad stories. Thanks again for your service Thomas .
I saw some terrible things at that hospital, one kid didn't look 12 years old and lost hios arms and legs.

We supported the US 9th Infantry and the 21st ARVN Division. I had a front row seat for everything that could possibly go wrong. I have picked up and loaded headless corpse, watched in a heavy fog helicopters flying into the ground nose first. I couldn't begin to remember all I watched or participated in. I made it home with a couple minor scars and my mind is in tact without any problems. The worst treatment has been from the VA, I hate them with a passion and would like to see all elected federal positions allowed only VA treatment or pay for their own. It wouldn't take long to see something change for the VA. I feel sure that is one thing I will not see in my life span. I vote for a total shut down and care be put into the private sector where it should be. You have all these elected morons using the VA for a voting tool. One good example is when that kenyan was in the oval office, he placed one of his followers from Chicago as administrator of the Houston National Cemetery for payback for her vote gathering for him. First thing she did was remove all the bibles from the chapel, next came a written order from her to all the pastors and clergyman giving the eulogies to the dead servicemen, the word God is not to be used in any eulogy and further all eulogies be approved by her. Until the Governor and State AG called her and ask her how would she like to spend some time in a federal prison,. a suit was filed the exact same day she tried this BS and the VA immediately called from Washington and said no contest and yet she remained at her job. She was near a lynching and didn't realize it. There was about 250 veterans at the cemetery and not in a forgiving mode for some slug from Chicago to play emperor of the south. It shows the level of misuse by Presidents of our VA and it is so far gone now it will never ever be a viable healthcare for veterans.

I heard some bad storeys about the drugs they give these poor vets. On radio one night a woman who workerd there had a 2 hour talk on them. Anyway no sense in me talking about it, we did what we could till the dictators stopped us visiting without giving what looked like a street person all our personal info. We wouldn't hand that over to anyone.
