Hearing more and more pleas from food banks as people are starving and bezos' lapping in his 1/2 billion monster ship. All part of the "great" Reset???????????
Yes, by all means take the wealth from people who earned it, comrade. How do you know he doesn't make sizeable charitable contributions?
Oh who is taking Bezos' wealth from him, and Yeah I'd love to hear him say he's supplying food banks in the U.S. And thanks more of your thinking.....you sound more like a bezos' cheer leader all the time...... On Bezos' giving to food banks... https://godspantry.org/bezos-grant/
And you sound more like a socialist all the time. You are correct, I do "cheer" for the American Way of capitalism that works. You should worry about how to spend your own money and allow other people the same privilege.
I'm kinda one of them, Beth, and always working to find ways to help myself as best I can....no one helps me, my friends shop for me but I pay for all I buy and watch almost every penny more than ever...just ordered a delivery of groceries and suck up all t he sky high prices, buying generic cream cheese now that Philadelphia brand has raised prices so... Yrs ago and in my working years, it was not unusual for me to buy bags of groceries when there were food drives. You????
Why the hate for capitalists and capitalism here? It may be worth remember that it is the wealthy who have the money to build things that improve people lives like businesses, libraries, universities, cars, goods and services. Without capitalists and capitalism, it's the government, not you, who decides what goods and services you have access to.
John, I don't hate Capitalism, but do hate Greed, what is Enough???? And so much of our world is governement money, the U.S. keeps printing it.
The amount of money a person has is not always equivalent to how greedy they are. Many people who do not have much money at all are extremely greedy. People who live at rescue mission steal each other’s stuff, and they are probably as poor as anyone could be, No matter how much or how little money each of us has, there will always be people who have more money and people who have less money, and some of both of those will try to help other people and some will be greedy. Jeff Bezos is certainly not the only rich person who has a yacht, and as far as I can see, he provides a whole lot of people with a job, and also supplies a platform where small startup businesses can sell their products easier. He has taken a small company that started out selling used books, and turned it into one of the largest retail companies in the whole world, and this has helped a whole lot of people while he is doing it. If I had as much money as he does, and wanted a yacht, I would buy one. We all buy the things that we want, to the best of our ability, whether it be a little or a lot. It is a lot more important how the government spends OUR money that they take from us, than it is how any millionaires spend money that they have earned from running their own business, in my opinion.
OK, it could be Dutch ? Lord knows I'm no flag expert. I just hope that when 'he' takes possession of it ...... [which I thought he had] he flys old glory.
A friend of mine complained that her boss ... made too much, had to much. Suggesting he should give some back to the company, to be disbursed back to the employees. My reply was well ...... Somewhere tonight there is a person that is going to sleep in a cardboard box , under a bridge . That person likely thinks you have too much. So, just how much are you willing to give back ? Not much of a resopnse from her.
