Just that as always, you are whining about something that's none of your business and trying to tell other people how to live their lives. People get tired of it. You just dragged that topic here after posting it in another couple of places where no one responded.

    Pit: Your off-topic whining.
Peak: I'm logging off now to go do something constructive.

Some people need a Sign- well then there are those that even a sign does not help.

No work has been done on the house since December 8th,(fire was Oct 11) because the final settlement for contents had not been reached. We had a problem with their content list being inaccurate lots of missing items, actually missing rooms. It took us about 3 days to go in and list the items missed. The insurance company has had it in their hands for review for at least 3 months, we finally got to a final settlement yesterday.

We are thrilled that we can continue cleaning out the house so construction can begin, we can't wait to move back in.
It's been a drain on all of us, but maybe now we can look forward to our new home.

Peak: It's a gorgeous spring day and I've been putzing in the yard.

Pit: Friend's husband passed away a little while ago. Not unexpected but still a very sad day.

Very little sleepi s my only Pit today. Peak, was sunny - but windy most of today. We just set up my plant stand in bedroom. Hubby wants to start seedlings in there for the garden. We shall see. Have found some one who will lend his tiller, so not back breaking for hubby.

One day last week I woke up feeling ache and pain free.
I had a big chunk of buttered toast and a mug of tea, then I thought, "I know, I'll go for a walk up to the park."
I pulled the curtains back and the rain was coming down in sheets.
Never one to be feint hearted, I told myself that the rain would ease and I'd have that walk, but the rain didn't ease, it got heavier and heavier, so, I began thinking, "Should I get the canoe out?"

Peak of the day. I got up early enough to set our trash out for pick up. I missed last week's pick up. Two weeks of trash fills the container.

Pit of the day. I ran after the truck when I heard it outside. It was raining too.:( As I was running down the alley I heard one of the men yell, Whoa! Thankfully they had no problem backing up to collect the trash for me. They explained that the time schedule for pick ups had changed and containers need to be out before 6AM  the previous time was between 9:30 and 10:00 AM. So now I know.

woke up with extreme pain in just about every part of my body from lifting, dragging, sifting through the remains from the fire, especially for personal stuff. My daughter and I have been working hard for the last week to separate what's good from stuff to be tossed.
The company that started this effort to clean out the house so that the reconstruction can begin didn't finish the job, they were supposed to assist us. Insurance company claimed there are no funds left for this effort, that they paid out the full claim allowance. The invoice from this cleaning company has some discrepancies, charges for work never done. This process leaves a lot to be desired why would the Insurance Company pay out any money until we verify the work was done that was invoiced. Basically the cleanup company got all the funds and ran. They got over a hundred grand to do the job, they should have completed it.
Right now the plan is for me and my daughter to sift through this stuff which by the way were just about done, then a clean up crew will remove the rest to the dumps. We're hoping next week reconstruction can begin.
    Peak
After a full day of work we decided to treat ourselves and go out to eat. I was able to wind down, had an enjoyable evening with my wife, daughter and 3 grandkids.

I won't go into the details, other than to say that I've been constipated for 5 days.
This morning, I sat on the toilet and 'yippee', I'm sure if I'd done any more I'd of been elevated and banged my head on the ceiling..
Feeling good now, I could maybe try that routine of Gene Kelly's, you know, 'Singin' in the rain', without the dancing though, the old legs would't do my bidding.

So far, of course, it's early yet, and that's the pit.

Pit: I went to bed late and woke up early so I'm tired, but not usually good at napping during the day.
Peak: Because I woke up early, I went for a 16-block walk.
Sub-Pit: I had hoped to stop at a restaurant for coffee but they were closed. Although not closed permanently, they're rarely open, which probably means that they'll soon be closing permanently.

The Pit: I just discovered two birds stuck between window panes in a spare bedroom. What is it with me and God's creatures?

    The Peak: I'm thinking.
