Just wondering if you have Indoor Plant that can remove toxins from the air. Some of the plans listed are Rubber Tree, Spider Plant, Snake Plant, Peace Lily, plus many more. Below is a link of a list of Plants and the toxins they clean. Check it out. https://www.architecturaldigest.com...ldigest.com/gallery/best-air-purifying-plants
I used to have tons of them. My tiny home looked like a jungle. I used to look up their Latin names (binomials), write them on popsicle sticks, and put them in the post so I could learn a little. At some point I stopped.
I do have a lot of plants in my house, but I never considered them for air purifying. I just love plants.
Always had lots of plants until we moved here 3 mos ago. Gave them to my kids,as to hard to travel in back of truck. I have had 40 plus at one time. I will buy a few soon , as I do miss my plants. Some were over 40 years old,
We had a philodendron that was an offshoot from my wife's grandmother's plant that was over 70 years old. We haven't cared for it since the house fire which was in October we're assuming it didn't make it.
We both love plants and enjoy the greenery in the house during the cold, dull wintertime months. In the summer, the inside plants go outside along the edges of the front porch and we enjoy them outside, and they get lots of fresh air and rainwater. Since we open doors and windows more in the warmer months , we get better fresh air in the house , even without plants helping to purify the air.
We also did take some of our indoor plants and put them out for the summer months. We were able to retrieve our Plumeria plants, they were dormant in the winter, started watering them about a week ago now we're seeing evidence of leaves starting to swell. They will be put out when the weather get warm.
I used to have lots of indoor plants. We have none indoors now but 3 remain that I overwinter in the garage and then move them outdoors in warm weather. I have had the Jade Tree since the 70s and the Pony Tail Palm since the 80s. They are both too big to move in and out of the house because of stairs. I want to give them away to a good home but have not been able to find one. A pick up truck and decent back would be needed to move them.
This one is not for indoors, but I couldn't resist it when we went to the garden center last week. It's called a "Lemon Button Fern."
I have several pots of Snake Plant (Mother-in-Law's Tongue). That stuff would take over the world if I put it in the ground. I started out with one small plant and now I have several pots that are bustin' at the seams.
Some ornamental plants can become invasive. Years ago one of our garden catalogs had a sale on trumpet vines it was something like two for 99 cents. There were about 2 in long and they look dead, I planted them anyway, well the original plants got to be over 10 ft tall and four or five feet wide the runners took over the yard into all our beds we're still contending with them today even though the main plants have been cut down.
I have three of the plants listed on the link by @Tony Page. I wasn't thinking about the purification aspects of them but glad to know what toxins are being filtered.
