She said that she's not proud that her daughter is gay. If she wanted to say more, she would have, so why else would you press the issue? You've already used the epithet, so it seems reasonable to assume that you're looking to assign it to someone, and that's not conducive to a civil discussion. You people?
I'm about to retire for the evening and although I think you may be a minority racist, [seems there are more minority racist now who hate whites] and that's why you're ignoring my question. You insinuate that conservatives are racist, not at all. You seem to have strong dislike for whites, why? Ignorance is no excuse for hate. The luckiest black people on earth live in America. It is sad that their own people sold them to the highest bidders all over the earth, yet they want reparations from Americans while they are still in slavery in Africa to this day, now you can't call them racist so what would they be to you? Many blacks are proud to be American and served in wars fighting for their nation and don't hate others. Lets talk about your grandkids now and I sure hope you're not "proud" of them.
Pressing the issue? I've said twice that if she doesn't want to elaborate further, that's fine. What epithet are referring to?
One of my older brothers, who is the closest to me in age, is a liberal and has gotten more liberal in recent years. Before I visited him last summer, I was warned not to bring up politics, which only made me wish that I actually owned a MAGA hat, as I would have worn it. Why avoid politics? I don't understand why anyone would even want everyone to agree with them on every issue, particularly politics. Of course, I didn't avoid politics, and we got along just fine, as I knew we would. We have far more in common than otherwise. As kids, we even shared a friend, and could occasionally even do stuff together without fighting. I don't need other people to agree with me in order to know that I'm right.
Why the heck would you bring up the race issue? We weren't talking about Black people just now. We were talking about being gay. And I merely POLITELY asked if you wanted to elaborate further. And now you're attacking me personally and making all kinds of false accusations. Good heavens. Get a grip and stay on topic or drop it altogether.
Good for you, but what does this have to do with the specific issue we're talking about right now...being gay? Am I not allowed to make ANY comments or ask ANY questions in this group? I was being very polite and respectful to you and Marie. There is absolutely no reason for your animosity toward me. I gave NO opinion on her comment. Good lord, now I'm being antagonized for saying nothing. Wow.
Please re-read the title and OP of this thread. Spoiler: Hint You chose the title and you posted the OP.
I know what the OP is. Another specific topic within the thread has been raised and we were addressing it. So what? Again, there is no reason for the animosity toward me.
You're really stretching at playing the victim, aren't you? In recent years, people have learned that there's power in being a victim and they seek it in every possible way. There shouldn't be power in being a victim; that's more of an artificial construct. I see that in young people a lot, but it's odd to find it in a senior. Most seniors I know would rather avoid being a victim, and don't want to be seen as one.
I didn't do 'go fund me' because they took a pretty good chunk of the donations. But it was the only way I could see to try to help those truckers out in the cold get some gas, food for their dogs etc. When all of a sudden the Canadian gov't grabbed the money! ????? And started taking names. And their dogs!!!!
Since you arrived you have insinuated that all conservatives are racist, homophobic rednecks. You bring up Jan5th protestors while completely ignoring the lunatic Marxist Antifa liberals and violent looting killing violent BLM. Unlike you I don't blame a whole race or political group for all liberal radical actions. I said I was done with politics yet here I go again, nobody's mind is changed so it is foolish to do so anyway. In the end we all lose and ' imo ', have lost the American Continent through infighting, apathy, self-loathing and victimhood. The worst of it is all our children of all races lose most of all.
Once again, you are slinging around false accusations and . Please show me where I've insinuated that ALL conservatives are racist, homophobic rednecks. I'll wait. By the way, America is not a continent.
Playing the victim? Hardly. Defending one's character and integrity against people who hurl insults and false accusations is not playing the victim. You're really getting creative with inventing new ways to express your disdain for me and my liberal views. I suspect that you and some of the other men in this group also have an issue with assertive women daring to challenge your opinions. Oh wait...that might be a false accusation. LOL
