As I don’t get out much and cameras are awkward I rely on my rather bulky photo albums to amuse me and to reminisce. I’ll share a few and if a story accompanies it I’ll include it but it’s not compulsory to read or comment. My interests with photography was, and still is, in the peculiarities of placement. “Found items” I’ve heard it call. More like moments of thought for me. Seeing some situation that has arisen by nature or human intervention seemingly by chance is a curiosity I cannot resolve other than to capture it and give thought to the image at a later time. The discarded shopping trolley is a symbol of our time. They appear most places, even when there is no sight of the origin. They and cockroaches will be all that remains of this generation.
The man in the street is all of us. He is alone. He has business in hand. He has been and is going. Right now he is a part of a system of other actions, structures, like and unlike species. He is surviving. Just. His time here is limited. Already he has used up all of it that he is aware of. He has no future beyond this moment. When he has gone the physical traces he leaves behind will decay and join the rest. He will exist in the minds of others only for as long as they, too, exist. This is not a sad story. It’s the only one we have and we can chose to judge it or let it be. When I look away and return he is gone. Now I live in another moment, waiting for the next pedestrian to conjure thoughts in my head. I might even take another photo.

In the 2arly and late 1950s We sat in the car on the dirt road and watched them finish the carving at Stone Mountain. This is a nose several men could sit on that nose at once. They did a great job detailing the fine points ,[ so I forgot words, will take all corrections as helpful]. Some want it blown off the mountain,
I just now noticed something, this city sidewalk looks more like NYC with all the snow on the cars and ground, we seldom had snow, maybe every 10 years snow or ice storm.
