I was just thinking upon, how much we each may have changed our interest in clothes/styles
from your younger years. As Seniors, I thought it would be fun to chat about how we prefer
to dress now, what we like?

In these my older/Senior years, I dress mostly for comfort with just a small flair of style.
I like to mix it up, and all depending on what I am feeling that day..

Very casual, I am. I can get dressed up when the occasion calls for, but I prefer neat comfort.

I had to wear a suit & tie all my career, and would wear jeans during non-business hours, except for those occasions where the venue required "nicer than" jeans. Now all hours are non-business, with the rare exception being a suit & tie affair.

    But I'm a guy...options are limited.
    -Suit/jeans/slacks.
    -Dress shoes/casual lace-ups/work boots.

I don't think much about it, and haven't really, since I was in the early grades of high school. I don't want to go out in public looking like a total dork, and I think it's a good idea to check to be sure my zipper is closed and my socks aren't on the outside of my pants, but that's about the extent of it. I do prefer drab colors, but I always have, so you aren't likely to see me walking around wearing yellow pants and a red shirt. I sometimes buy hats that I think I like the idea of, but which make me feel self-conscious when I wear them in public, for some reason, but I think that's about it. From time to time, my wife will remind me that my clothes aren't matching but that's not something I am ever conscious of.

I have a full closet of stuff but my go-to clothing consists of sweats and when we go somewhere, I wear better sweats.
Weather permitting, it’s sweat pants and tank top and if we go somewhere, better sweat pants and tank top.

Just now I put on my jeans, and a non matching top and walking shoes, because
lots of walking today I think, things to get done around here, and no stylish clothes
or outfits will suit the occasion of cleaning the patio and storage unit lol.

Hey Bobby Cole, sweats are a very convienent choice of clothing, (me too)

Ken Anderson LOL, that was funny, zipper closed and socks not on the outside
    of your pants :D

John Brunner, no more suit and ties for you then, unless a called for occasion.

Mary Roby, casual for me also and neat comfort.

What are you all wearing today? What did you throw on this morning? ;):p

#1: What the heck is a "non-matching top" when you have jeans on?
#2: I keep thinking I need to give my suits away.
#3: I always get up and put on flannel lounging pants. Most days I never change out of them.

Jeans and tee shirts, with athletic shoes. This is literally the only thing I own. Pretty much been this way for 10 -12 years. I am thinking od getting some new tops, and I need two new pair of jeans. My others are showing wear. Unfortunately, if an event calls for better dress than what I own, will not be going.

You make a good point John ;) *laughing*

non matching top with Jeans lmao.

No! don't give your suits away, keep them for memories sake...

Hey those flannel lounging pants can be stylish, it is called ready wear, ready to wear them
and stay in them all day. Works for me, on those certain days too. HA

Hedi, jeans and tee shirts, the comfy things and athletic shoes, keeping proper care of your feet.

New jeans maybe for you then, I need one new pair, others are too tight these days, and I don't
intend to give up my Pasta anytime soon...

I wear shorts probably 350 days a year. My go-to "uniform" is white bermuda shorts and a dark colored knit pullover. Since I had a single mastectomy I find that dark colors make it not so obvious that I'm a uni-boob. In the house and yard I'm probably barefoot. Occasionally on cold days I wear fuzzy slippers with my shorts.

These days since I have developed lymphedema in my right arm, I have to buy tops a size larger than normal to make sure I can get the sleeve over my compression sleeve. That's a PITA but life goes on. So I'm not exactly a fashion plate but I try to look presentable.
