The skin is already staying in place but it did come loose when I took the first band aide off, so I covered it with Vaseline till I could get Jake to get the bandages since I was bleeding too much to walk to them. Bleeding has stopped.

Ouch @Marie Mallery that’s a painful place to hurt one’s self hope it’s healed by now

We had an old cast wood burning stove to cook meals / keep warm in winter …..it was used to cook food in summer as well
In winter we always had the oven door open and I had a habit of skinning my shins on the edge of the cast over door

It is looking ok and we changed the bandage this morning. It is red but that is to be expected. I put Vaseline on the gauze so it wouldn't stick and peel back skin. I sprinkled salt over it then wiped around the wound with 91% alcohol, without getting near any on the wound. I'll use aloe vera on it next time to help with healing, if its not infected.

Thank you Hedi and I'm trying, if it even looks like it is not healing, I'll go to Urgent Care doctor.
