I for one don't want to hear the propaganda of the Left. All that list was supposedly things that Trump promised but didn't get done. Obviously, anyone with a brain knows that much of what he tried to do was blocked by the ignorance of the Leftists who figured they were better at running a country, and Trump proved them wrong. They hate him and will stop at nothing to keep him out of office. They thing they are getting him, but who their hurting is all of America and they are just adding nails to their own coffins with every stunt. And you ask your average democrat why they dislike Trump and all they can say is "I just don't like the way he talks" or they say they just don't like him. That's who most of the votes are coming from against him, idiots that don't even know what the issues are!!

I though about it Yvonne, and I don't believe for a moment that obama would warn us of anything. I probably misunderstand the whole post knowing me ;)

It is NOT Obama, that is for sure. The whole video is to show what “deep fakes” are, and this video is an example of a deep fake. We now have the technology to take a picture of a person, and then use another person to do the moving and talking, and make it look like the first person is actually doing it.
They took pictures and voice information from actual Obama, and then the deep fake person made the video, and so it looks like it is actually real. If you watch it, it shows the fake guy actually moving and speaking the words in one screen, and then the pictures of Obama looking like it is him speaking the words.

What I was trying to show was how real they can make anything look nowdays, way beyond just photoshopping pictures, now it is videos too. Do a search on youtube for “deep fakes”, and you will see that people we think are actually broadcasting news are not real, and all sort of other things that look real and are not.
It is SCARY, what they can do ! !

Ok, I did understand after it showed the guy on the right, but I didn't get that he was saying everything even when his pic wasn't showing him on the right. I get it all now, sorry bout that. It's pretty wild to show that can be done, all we can believe is if we are actually "there" and like that is going to ever happen for most of us :(

I've no idea what you're talking about. Nothing here even hints at being angry with you. Geoffrey P. Hunt isn't a part of this forum, so I have no obligation whatsoever to even read his diatribe, let alone consider his opinions.

What, here, is directed at you? I assumed you were quoting his anti-Trump article, which I didn't read, because that is what you had indicated. People write a lot of things, and I dismiss most of them out of hand. Since I don't base my opinions on other people's opinions, why wouldn't I?

I've criticized Trump several times, and I won't be offended if you don't care about these, but that doesn't obligate me to be interested in everyone else's criticisms. Now that you make an issue of it, seemingly accusing me of attacking you because I didn't slobber all over the words of this Geoffrey P. Hunt character, I did look, and it seems that he's just another Never-Trumper. Before that, he was an anti-Obamite, so maybe he's just someone who likes to complain about what other people do or don't do. I don't know and don't care. He's welcome to his opinions, as are you, but that's all they are.

One of the things I've noticed about (seemingly) hard core Trump fans is that many tend to dismiss criticism offhand and without any rational for doing so other than some ad-hom attack on the critic as being a "never -Trumper" or "swamp creature". Maybe this stems from Trump's inclination to "trash talk" and "bad mouth" people.instead of thoughtfully and surgically dissecting opposing rationale.

I think Trumps biggest mistake was putting his SIL and daughter as his advisers was his downfall. Not paroling Jan.6th protestors yet giving Jarads daddy a pardon for crooked deals, I also didn't like the fact that Jared 666 5th Avenue purchase involved Geroge Soros financing. Or Soros introducing Ivanka to Jared at a dinner party, kind of like the royals do to keep it in the family. Or his closeness to the Clintons for many years were these just rumors, I don't know for sure, but I do know Trump was democrat before he ran Republican
But under the circumstances I still would have voted for him knowing all this considering what choices I had.

The trash talk even tends to turn off his supporters I'm afraid. It's too bad Rush is gone. He was a confidant of Trump and would probably give him some excellent advice about that and running in general.

One thing I have always done especially on this forum is to ask people who are totally against Trump during his presidency the question of, why?
Now, when they come up with answers like “He’s Vile”, He’s a liar” etc (and a couple of occasions called me a “Traitor”), I have asked for examples and been answered with more very vindictive words with no explanation or from where the opinion was derived.
Note: The striking difference is that most folks do not have to ask me why I like something or someone because I explain it from the git-go which leaves nothing for the imagination. e.g. who, what, when, where and why are the basic rules of a good conversation and ….journalism.

I can peruse back through perhaps a couple of hundred posts both for and against Trump and truthfully, the anti-Trumpers will rarely expound on why their hatred is so severe but simply say one or two adjectives or innuendos that is supposed to do for an explanation. The who and what are there but the when, where and why seem to take vacations.
Having had to deal with such abrupt criticism with no attempts to form a formal and informative dialog has pretty much left me saying to myself, “forget it, he or she is a never Trumper” and leave it at that.

Do note that I do understand that opinions are a necessary part of life and thank God for educated opinions for without them, there would be no progress in this world but that said, those emotionally based opinions that are not based on facts is when I have to shrug my shoulders and turn the light off.

Yeah and sometimes the answers from the left progressives can’t even be classified as rhetoric because by definition, [whether true or false] rhetoric is a statement or inclusive statements that are intended to sell something or a belief.
Merely stating one or two adjectives without some defining objectivity or even subjectivity to it doesn’t sell anything.

I mean, saying “Jesus is good” is a positive announcement but without any reference as to why a person believes Jesus is good doesn’t bring folks into the door of the church.

I used to get a bit angry about it. Now I just find it sad and depressing.

I have to tell this story (again?). When I was working as a product manager, I had a very strange boss for a while, could not even imagine how her mind worked. Anyway, she was explaining to me something she wanted. I don’t remember the details now but during the course of the conversation, I used her own words to show she was clearly and directly contradicting herself. She stopped, got this strange look and just walked off.

A few days later, she came back and asked if I had time to accompany her to a meeting with her boss. She explained what the general topic was and what she wanted. Then she asked me if I remembered the above conversation we had a few days earlier. I said yes, and she said (I kid you not) “I want you to do the same trick to him you did to me”.

A contradiction is proof of an error in one’s thinking, because contradictions do not exist in reality. She could not accept, or maybe was not even capable of recognizing that though. It was just a clever trick to her. I can’t begin to fathom how a mind like that works.

I have had the same experience, @Bobby Cole. Most of the anti-Trumpers I have met seem to be victims of the propaganda and cannot generally think for themselves. Sad it is.

Dismissing other people's opinions off-hand is the reasonable thing to do. When they are expressed well, or when they bring something up that I haven't already heard a thousand times, or when they are expressed by someone I have a relationship with, I might find someone's opinions to be interesting but what's wrong with developing your own opinions, based on facts that are available to you? That would make more sense than turning to someone else for an opinion.

I'm not a Republican. I didn't register to vote in the GOP primary in order to vote for Trump last time around, and I won't do so this time, because I'm not a Republican. When I disagree with Trump, I am not hesitant to express my disagreement and have often. But I don't expect perfection from anyone.

If I hire someone to do a job, performance is what matters.

I look at the facts and use them to form my own opinions. You may disagree with them or not, but it won't change my opinions, as only facts will change my opinions.

If you're into opinions, however, here's a reasonable one, although I didn't vote for him in a primary, either. I promise that my feelings won't be hurt if you disagree with his opinions.
