I still deal with this issue and continue to manage and CLEAN OUT colon as best I have learned to... Millions in our world are Clogged Up...never get cleaned out good enough.

Reading this today that came in, Supplemenmt discussed is Consti-Slim and I will research it further.

I have mild diverticulosis. If I want a "cleanout," all I have to do is eat a piece of sausage and it's katy bar the door. :D Not sure why that is, but it happens every time.

I'm believing more and more on my issue, first of all I have a history of constipation......and didn't have good cleanouts thru my life....now at 85 soon and fairly disabled and don't walk much except around the house with walker and the rear end and lower back and my body went thru a lot of nerve damage, ended up with weak muscles and and told I live with advanced spinal stenosis, so a lot has changed down there....

I've not gone back and read the entire thread again, Joy. Did you mention taking prebiotics at one time? I've rarely had bowel issues, but that touch of diverticulitis last December left me with some mild issues. Prebiotics have been miraculous. They are the only supplement I've taken where I experience an effect. Some websites say you need to take 20g to get a benefit, but I only take about 7g-8g a day. There are admonitions to start off at a low dose if things are running slowly.

I haven’t posted in this thread yet so I guess, like a good blowout in the donniker, it’s about time.

Note first: I don’t spend any more than a minute at any one time sitting around on the oval throne.

    I have morning coffee…..I go.
I then have my shake and a piece of fiber cake if there is any…and go.
After a workout and especially if I’m lifting heavy…..I go, go, go until it’s gone.

I keep trying to get Mr. Bobby to have some of my homemade kombucha or the kefir, both with a lot of great probiotics and bacteria that makes the gut work like it is supposed to do; but so far, he just makes faces at me when I give him a taste.
I do put the kefir into the fiber cake, so he does get some when he eats that, and my next plan is to try making the frozen yogurt ice cream and see if he will eat that.
You have to be creative to keep these men healthy sometimes, @Mary Stetler !

I’m a little skeptical about anything on Tik Tok.

But, if one takes a good stout drink of castor oil, chances are things will develop and as far as inducing labor, old wives tales prescribe castor oil for that too.

All things work together for good….or to stay on topic, all things work OUT for good……
I won’t eat flour or baking powder by themselves nor drink buttermilk nor eat a teaspoon of salt by itself but if ya put ‘em all together and bake it for a bit, we have a biscuit.

I'm not a tic tok person but I do believe in acupuncture and accupressure/

And Bobby it's so great you have no issues as some do.

I too believe there are some aspects of acupressure and acupuncture that are positive but like anything else, the two practices aren’t the panacea that many people believe they are.

So far as not having issues, everyone who has ever entered the military knows that there’s only x amount of time one has to “git er done”. There’s nothing worse than sitting in the latrine when someone yells “attention” or in a combat situation, when the mortars start coming in.
Simply put, for some like myself, the habit stuck.

Getting my gut health in better order is a goal this past year,
Probiotics, eliminating most dairy products, but keeping a few
on board, like Kefir... Continuing to make diet changes and
adjustments I know will benefit me. I want to read this entire
    thread, sometime soon I think.
