The Main Point When you go to Help/About Firefox, it automatically checks for updates and applies them. I don't know why there are some updates that don't automatically download when you first open Firefox in the morning...most of them do. edit to add: Maybe they become available in the middle of the day and don't automatically download until the next time you Start Firefox. Rambling Stories I've done the same thing. I cleared cache and rebooted my machine and still had site issues here until they self-corrected. As I said, I've logged into my online banking using Firefox from this machine since I got it 6-7 years ago. Suddenly I could not even bring up my bank's website, even with all "blockers" disabled and maximum permissions given it. I've had to use Edge to do my banking for 2-3 months until a recent Firefox update. The first thing I did after the update was to open up my bank's website to test it. Things are fine now. I've has issues on a few other sites where I've had to use a browser other than Firefox. Firefox issues have not been frequent, and I don't routinely use another browser so have nothing to compare it to. I will say that I've been using Firefox for a very long time and never had any issues with it in all those years.
Which browser do you use? In Firefox, just go to Settings, Privacy & Security, Cookies and Site Data, Manage Data. From there you get a pop up box where you can search for the site you want to "manage." Select the site and delete. I just took a look at Edge and it has a similar setup.
@Ken Anderson . I Can Only log in on my phone as of today On my laptop it says I must accept cookies first I have not cleared the cache or anything I don't know where that came from so now I don't know how to reinstate cookies?
The first thing I would do is to shut down everything you have open and reboot the machine. Then try it again.
I have changed some cookies settings but it still won't let me in and I can't use Opera on Chromebook OS
Can you reboot and try again? What cookie settings did you change? ps: I hate this stuff when nothing has changed yet it just stops working.
Okay shut it down and on restart I had no problem getting in. Never has happened before. The internet service in the whole town went down last night for about 3.5 hours. Could that have done something ? I downloaded Opera and says I can not use as this system does not use Windows. I will perhaps try another browser as a back up. Thank you for your help
Over time, things "get bumped" from memory. Restarting the computer gives a fresh loading of the operating system and the applications. It's always the first thing you should try. Glad it's working.

Look at the top right hand of your page and see three vertical dots. Click on that and go to settings to find 'cookies' or 'security'.click on allow cookies. Then go to amazon.com or somewhere safe for a moment, come back here and try to log in. If it doesn't work, set your cookies back where you want them. I had to try this a couple of times. Coming back here right away doesn't allow the cookies to get accepted right away, I think.
