Don Williams is one of my most favorite singers, and this song is my favorite, I think. All of Don's songs are so beautiful, it is hard to make a choice.
I just found my husband's stash of CDs, not more than an hour ago. He was a big fan of Yanni, but what caught my attention was his collection of Doo Wop. It starts with songs from 1948. So I am now listening to that, but my favorite song is The Rose by Bette Midler. It came out just after I had cancer, and it was dedicated to me by a friend. Sorry about the adds, I'm just not that techie YET.
I always loved, and always will love "Carry On Wayward Son" by Kansas. I am in love with the lyrics, and they are very motivating, and I just find that they're fitting for just about every mood I have. It's just something I haven't found in any other song ever since I listened to this, and I don't think I ever will.
I found a John Cash song, "Heros in black and white", that I never heard before. It is not the best video, so I include the lyrics as well. When I was young, I'm thinkin' 'bout what Life would be in black and white, playing on our old TV You never failed me, you were all I needed to know On your white horse, you were my heroe All that lady, girl of my childhood dreams, the guy in black was always chasing her it seems, but I never worried vertue triumph in the end, and now I ?????? you way back then All those movies in black and white it was easy to tell the wrong from right, when the bad guy loses in the end and the good guy win the lady's hand, we still need you if the truth were told the color's fine and they improved the tone but I'd rather get the ending right, we still need heroes, heroes in black and white Now I'm older and the world is a different place to see, the black and white looks a little grey to me, and I have changed, cause there has been some compromised, and the lady looks a little sad but wise, late at night, far past the news ATM, they're on the re-runs riding for the truth again, sometimes I see you and I'm sure it's time you win the fight, I still need heroes, heroes in black and white All those movies in black and white it was easy to tell the wrong from right, when the bad guy loses in the end and the good guy win the lady's hand, we still need you if the truth were told the color's fine and they improved the tone but I'd rather get the ending right, we still need heroes
