By "results" do you mean the colored chart? That feature does not work on the major forum software. I tested it on the other forums I am on, each using different software, and the chart does not post correctly on any of them. I'm thinking that all we care about is getting the word right and the number of guesses. I'm not sure the chart adds anything to our playing the game here.
How do you see I got 2 letters right on my first guess from this??? Maybe you are seeing a different screen than I am. I see four blank squares in first row, same in second row, and first two blank squares in third row.
>I had to try twice to get the custom game to load on Chrome. >Chrome will load the Game of the Day fine. >Chrome won't load the main Wordle site because it doesn't like the Security Certificate. This means those who are on Chrome will not be able to create puzzles, but they can solve puzzles created by others and can solve the Wordle of The Day. They CAN create puzzles if they use a different browser for that purpose.
Understood, but I won't use two different browsers to play a game. It's just too complicated to enjoy this simple game. Thank you, I'll continue to play as I have been. You've been very patient with all of this, and of me, @John Brunner
I have to say that just reading this thread and posts is making me smile My hunch is that it will be FUN, whether or not it can be figured out. or successfully solved. Now Webroot is indicating it wants to scan my laptop, so off I go, but will be back to give this all a go...
Major forum software programs (like the one we use) do not display the graphic correctly. They only show the letters you got wrong (the black squares.) >When I see 4 squares, I know that you got the other 2 letters right. >When I see 2 squares,I know you got the other 4 letters right. >When I see 3 rows, I know that was the last time you got any letters wrong (meaning you solved it your 4th attempt.) As I said, we can all still play the Daily Wordle and post our "I got it right in 4 attempts" results here.
I hope you are not laughing out loud! If you are, all is not lost then! I wish I could give @John Brunner some fireworks to show my appreciation for all he has done. At least now, I understand about the security certificate and the different ways browsers act and react.
I'm glad you're smiling. All people really have to do is go play the daily game on the Wordle site and come post their results here. Heck, you could just type "I got it right on my 4th attempt." We don't need to see how many letters anyone got correct on each guess.
I was shocked that Chrome was fine with 2 of the Wordle sites and not the main one. How can it be OK with the custom word I created on the main site, but it will not actually go to the main site?????
I forgot. You would only need to use a different browser if youwanted to create a puzzle. You can play custome puzzles and the daily puzzle from Chrome without an issue.
