It is the time of year when my clothes style changes from warm and cozy winter sweatpants and tops to summer cool and comfy cut-offs and tops. I have been going through my closet and putting away all of the flannel jammies, and heavy winter clothes, and getting out the shorts and tank tops for summer.
So, of course, the weather has turned cold and rainy again, and I am sitting here typing with my warm vest on and long pants again today.
Regardless of the time of year, casual and comfortable are my style, for sure.

Today my 1980 USA made 9X32 Junior slim fit Wranglers with the big W on the back pockets. Generally I wear one of my many pair of 9X32 relaxed fit "rodeo" riding bareback Wranglers USA made in the 1980s. I must confess these junior slim fit are very tight and I had to do a wiggle to get into them. They are also what the young ladies of today call the "wedgie" fit. I must admit that fit isn't as friendly and exciting at my age, now 72, as it was at 30. Be that as it may, I am going to wear them all day anyway.

My top for the day is my womens Carhart relaxed but semi fitted short sleeve South American made tee shirt with no bra. I have no clothes or shoes made in commie countries anymore. If I drive to the doctors today, I will wear my SAS USA made sandals but if I walk it will be the USA made New Balance running shoes. It is 5 miles one way. I haven't decided but walking through one scary part of town to get there is a concern since it is too warm for a jacket and no place to make a handgun shape with my thumb up and index and middle finger extended in a pocket. Not wearing a bra, if I start to sweat, might also present a problem.

I plan to replace all my tops with USA made but they are hard to find other than jackets which I changed recently into all USA made. The thing is so many of the USA made companies are making unisex tops. I hate that as it is catering to the woke nonsense in my opinion. Finding a semi fitted women's crew neck tee that isn't all open neck and super short sleeves is next to impossible. I have several USA made tank and crop tops, but I finally put them all in the donation box. I want an average length, medium weight, tee that isn't boxy and has half sleeves for summer and also some long sleeves for winter.

I have never liked 3/4th sleeve. I am always fidgeting with the sleeves as they don't feel right. To answer the question posed in the OP, I dress mainly for comfort but still like a youthful look. I have no dresses or skirts anymore. They went with the last donation load.

I know what you mean. I still have some flannel shirts from Sears that I bought decades ago and they are still soft and didn't shrink one bit.

I've been buying clothes at Tractor Supply. They carry good work pants and jeans, and they also have quality work boots. The only other place that carries clothes these days is Walmart.

What I have is what I bought years ago. In summer, I generally wear a cotton t shirt and a cotton men's button down, long sleeve shirt. I wear cotton jeans--some dressier than others. One time years ago I wore a dress and my neighbor exclaimed he didn't even know I had legs!
I tend towards sun poisoning and many wonder if I am not hot. I sweat a lot and the cotton works like a swamp cooler, so, no. And I don't get bitten or scratched as much as my naked armed and legged companions do.

In the winter I wear tee shirts and stretch pants. In the summer I wear tee shirts and stretchy shorts or capris. I have no waist, just kind of built straight up and down, so jeans don't work for me. When I go out somewhere, I try to wear a tee shirt that doesn't look 10 years old. If I have to go to a wedding or some place fancy, I wear stretch pants and a nice top. As far as shoes, sandals in the summer, and in the winter my comfy Sketchers. I gave up heels a long time ago. I also gave up putting on make up except for eyebrow pencil. My eyebrows have started to disappear and I look weird without them. My 20 year old self would be appalled if she saw me today!

I was having a friendly chat with a gal that worked in field sales, always on the go. She was talking about how much she hated the time wasted in applying eye liner and eye make up. I told her “well, it looks nice.” To which she replied she would tell me a secret. She said she got so tired of it that she had it tattooed onto her eyelids. Just an idea. ;)

Because I've lost about 25 pounds now, I only have one pair of Wrangler Men’s 13MWZ Cowboy Cut Original Fit Jean Prewashed (42/30, so had to buy another pair on Amazon (Boot Barn). The other three pair are way to large (46/30, but keeping them anyway, just in case I can wear them in the future. Actually, I thought I might be able to go back to wearing Wrangler Slim Fit Jeans, that I wore back in the mid 80's, but I didn't lose that much weight.

We got my wife a new pair also: Wrangler Men's Cowboy Cut Slim Fit Traditional Boot Cut Jean. She loves them!

And, now that snow and very cold weather is gone, yesterday I put away our Black Felt Hats (in Boot Barn Hat Holders) and got out our Resistol Straw Hats.

We continue to wear our Ariat Hiking Boots.

A few nights ago, we went to Golden Corral Buffet, wearing our western clothes, including hats, and got a number of nice compliments about what we were wearing. I was wearing one of my Team Roping buckles that I got years ago and am very proud of.

I am a classic dressed kind of gal. I mostly wear jeans of various colors, darker in the winter, wheat or white, or colored in the summer. I prefer cotton long sleeved button down the front semi fitted shirts with a collar. I like to turn back the sleeves, wrists bare, mostly checked, leaf pattern, or white. If weather is cooler, a cami under, then open front untucked, always neat.

I've never owned a pair of sweat pants, and only two sweatshirts. It's just not me.

Hi john, at first when they came to town, TS had womens sizes, I think, as a friend snagged several. I guess they could have been mens small but I didn't find anything to fit me. I need to go by there more often though, they have excellent brands!! Thanks for the reminder ;) denise

If I am not lounging around in a pair of jeans or sweats, I usually wear something called the "preppy" style. It goes back to my school days and really looks ridiculous on this 90-year-old. See my avatar. Habits die hard.
