I will explain later if your interested - but, if you are taking something like Lipator... it causes all kinds of aches pains and leg issues. Cutting my dose in half as doctor said, has made a huge difference
Do you believe the same is true of all statins, or just Lipitor ? I take Crestor, and am considering adjusting my dosage due to the same [neuropathy] reasons.
From what I have read, and have been told by nurses and other people it is possible. But that your decision. It has made a big difference for me recently.
Ok, and i know you are not prescribing but another question. How do we keep our cholesterol in check ? I mean, the mainstay of my diet for decades was fish & veggies, very little red meat , same with anything fried, etc, etc. And yet I developed high cholesterol & heart disease . I have been shopping for a "supplement" / vitamin that might help.
@Ron Beforee - Some people, like my dad are just prone to HC,no matter what they eat. It is can be genetic also. A hit and miss. You are you own best advisor, and what works for you . If you feel you already eat all the right things then talk to your doctor or see a nutritionist . There are several on here who rely on holistic medicine and nutrition, vs taking medicine .
