An update to my joining this forum. It was recommended to me this was a good forum. No one mentioned it is so biased as to attack me for having a political opinion that doesn't comform to others. No wonder the numbers are so low. Done, and good bye.
Some people confuse disagreement with being attacked, often while in the process of attacking another person themselves.
I can see no place where she's been attacked by anyone here. This isn't MSNBC or the Washington Post, and neither is it the Epoch Times. There are at least two sides to political discussions here. Whatever your political persuasions might be, you're welcome here.
I am glad to hear that Ken. The uniqueness of each of us members, is that while one might feel they have been attacked for their opinion/opinions, the other member/members perhaps can't see or even consider 'why'. They might see it totally different, it's how things roll so to say, not unusual or uncommon. On this wonderful forum with wonderful members, there are the hiccups so to say, I am not saying anything new obviously, does not make the topic unworthy for comment and is why I am commenting. Goodnight to all.
As @Yvonne Smith suggests, some people truly do view disagreement as an attack, so when someone disagrees strongly with something they say, they do see it as an attack against themselves rather than the issue.
It seems to me this is typical behavior. I dislike stereotyping, but my experience is that It is almost impossible to engage with those of leftist persuasion. When you want to discuss something calmly or are critical, it is taken as an attack which automatically makes you some kind of bigot in their minds. Heaven forbid someone should have a different opinion and feel free to discuss it. And by discuss it, I mean healthy debate of contrasting views, not some rhetorical, drive by post which appears to be expected to go unchallenged. This isn’t a bubble.
