The legislation passed last Friday by a 33-15 vote. Here's a copy of the bill (link.) It's just over 7 pages long. The crazy senator said “I am just not in a place any longer where I can have a conversation with people where I don’t want to slap them at the end.” So there is no room for discussion with those who believe that a minor cannot decide to have their genitalia surgically altered, and that they need to wait until they are of legal age (even if you do think that 18 is mature enough to decide this.) Frankly, people who hold the position that this woman does are speaking volumes of their own level of maturity (as evidenced by her public behaviour on the floor of the Nebraska Senate floor.)
My thoughts exactly. I have no hatred in my heart for anyone albeit there’s a whole lot of people I do not like but transgenders are indeed human beings so on that front, I have no qualms. BUT…..what purpose does a trans serve except to serve themselves? Why are they “needed” as opposed to the other categories? The human being underneath the dress and makeup and mutilated genitalia might be needed but the trans part serves no purpose. Since I’m done with all the procreating stuff, I’m not needed because I’m straight but because I’m a human being.
Those who scream "I'm tolerant!" the loudest are in reality the most objectifying depersonalizing people there are. To shout "We need more trans people!" is to say that they are monolithic in her eyes...they are all the same...there are no unique individuals with unique identities. Just "trans people."
Well then, have congress set a quota. If we need a million more trans people to balance the gender thing then when boys are born, just whack their junk off and tell mom and dad they produced a trans. When the quota is filled then it’s business as usual until the next emergency.
