Faye, thanks for mentioning Tai Chi. I know very little about it. However, based on your experience, it sounds like it might help me with my balance and frailty issues. I did a quick search on the Internet and will start slowly with the most basic Tai Chi movements for balance. Caio.
Just talking to a friend and she just broke down and is taking a diuretic for BP she can't seem to get low enough. She does not take other BP meds and I had to break down 15 yrs ago at least and take the BP med I'm taking. I detest pharma drugs....but... I mentioned the potassium and how it can lower BP.. she takes extra potassium for CFS fatigue issues and I take extra potassium too for fatigue help. Here is what is said about potassium and BP Increasing potassium intake can help decrease your blood pressure if you have high blood pressure. By lowering blood pressure, increasing potassium intake can also reduce your risk for heart disease and stroke. In contrast, consuming too much sodium can raise your blood pressure.Aug 2;
You know you're old when you have to think about what you're going to take for energy, or when energy is even something that you think of or wish for.
There are plenty of younger folks who are low energy and many who don't seek out optimal thyroid support. It took me 10 yrs with the wrong docs working to " fix me" and they threw anti depressants at me, and it was thyroid that my D.O. fixed and no lab work on his part. He knew....that was starting back in 1991,,, The old school of docs are gone.
You had one unless you were not born with one....I recall you mentioning Levo as the med you take...I hope you are getting enough with no thyroid at all. One of my very first health forums I was on back in 2005 was a thyroid support forum....I learned so much. Miss the group but it was a money issue as I recall for the owner to continue..... A couple of docs in the long 10 yrs attempted to get me to take Levo drug and when I tried, I would just about fall over myself while walking. I was one that the T3 and T4 did not convert.
Sativa? You'll still be tired but you won't really care. When my white blood count gets down around 11 or 12 sometimes a shower is exhausting.
I take Levothyroxine and my levels are fine, even though my dosage was cut in half several months ago. I think my energy level is okay for a 71-year-old who doesn't have to do a lot of stuff that requires energy.
It was cut in Half, wonder why that was done? Did you have thyroid cancer or what if you don't mind saying, since you say you have no thyroid. People I've talked to over yrs with no thyroid due to having it removed, take pretty high doses of desiccated support to replace no thyroid. Ken you are young, 71, good grief that is young,
